Missiles launched from Yemen toward southern Israel as Ansarallah signals readiness for direct military intervention amid regional escalation.
Key Developments
- Missiles launched from Yemen toward southern Israel triggered sirens in Eilat, the Arava, and the Negev.
- Israeli media reported that Yemen has entered the confrontation, marking a widening of the regional war.
- Ansarallah had earlier warned it would intervene militarily if escalation against Iran and allied movements continued.
Yemen Enters War
Israeli media reported early Saturday that missiles were launched from Yemen toward southern Israel, marking a new phase in the expanding regional confrontation.
According to the reports, sirens sounded in the southern city of Eilat, as well as in the Arava region and the Negev, following the detection of the incoming missiles.
The reports described the development as a significant escalation, noting that the Yemenis have also entered the line of confrontation and war, as the ongoing conflict continues to expand across multiple fronts.
The missile launches come amid growing regional tensions linked to the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran, which has already drawn in several actors across the Middle East.
The Yemeni Armed Forces had issued a statement on Friday warning that they were prepared for direct military intervention under specific conditions.

‘Hands on Trigger’
The statement said that Yemeni forces have “their hands on the trigger” and are ready to intervene if additional alliances are formed alongside the United States and Israel against Iran and the axis of resistance.
It also warned against the use of the Red Sea for military operations targeting Iran or any Muslim country, stating that Yemen “will not allow that.”
The warning further indicated that continued escalation against Iran and allied movements would be met with responses “as required by the military operations arena.”
Earlier, the leader of Ansarallah, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, said that any major developments in the region would be met with a military response from Yemen, similar to previous rounds of confrontation.
He stressed that Yemen’s position is directed against the United States and Israel, without hostile intentions toward other Muslim countries.
Ansarallah framed the ongoing war as part of a broader regional project, linking developments in Iran to Palestine, Gaza, Iraq, and Lebanon.

Beyond Iran
The group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, said that the conflict is not limited to Iran but extends to what he described as the wider Islamic world, positioning Yemen within a broader regional alignment.
He outlined a set of demands, including an immediate halt to aggressions against multiple countries, and called for lifting the blockade on Yemen.
He also linked the Yemeni position to the Gaza genocide, calling for the implementation of agreements related to humanitarian conditions and Palestinian rights.
Ansarallah emphasized that its military operations would target US and Israeli forces, stating that it does not aim at civilians.
