The latest figures bring the number of Palestinians killed since the declaration of the ceasefire on October 11 to 904, alongside 2,713 injuries and 777 recovered bodies.
The continued rise in casualties came as displaced Palestinians gathered in central Gaza to protest worsening hunger, food shortages and restrictions on humanitarian aid entering the Strip.
Hunger Protests Erupt amid Deepening Crisis
Meanwhile, Anadolu news agency reported that dozens of Palestinians gathered in central Gaza on Sunday, demanding unrestricted humanitarian aid access and the reopening of crossings.
Participants raised Palestinian flags and banners condemning worsening living conditions and food shortages. Several protesters carried empty cooking pots, symbolizing the deepening hunger crisis facing families throughout Gaza.
The demonstrations reflected growing anger over continued restrictions and delays in implementing ceasefire commitments related to aid and border crossings.
‘We Want to Live with Dignity’
Ali Al-Shashniya, coordinator and spokesman for tribal and popular committees in Al-Bureij refugee camp, was cited by Al Mayadeen as saying that humanitarian conditions continue deteriorating under the blockade and ongoing shortages.

He said thousands of displaced Palestinians now rely almost entirely on humanitarian assistance to meet daily needs and warned that conditions could worsen if restrictions remain.
Hassan Rayyan, a displaced Palestinian from northern Gaza, reportedly described the situation confronting many families who have lost homes and livelihoods.
“We want to live with dignity. We lost our homes and our humanitarian situation has become extremely difficult,” he told Anadolu.
Food Insecurity Continues to Worsen
The demonstrations took place as international agencies continue to warn about severe food insecurity throughout Gaza.
According to the World Food Program, approximately 1.6 million Palestinians — representing 77 percent of Gaza’s population — face severe levels of acute food insecurity.
The agency said the figures include more than 100,000 children and approximately 37,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the cumulative toll from Israel’s war and genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,797 martyrs and 172,821 wounded.
