Two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike east of Khan Yunis as Israel continued to violate the Gaza ceasefire with new air, land, and sea attacks.
Two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured on Monday after an Israeli drone targeted the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, Al-Jazeera reported, citing medical sources.
The attack came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire in place since October 10.
The Nasser Medical Complex confirmed that the victims were killed in a drone strike as they were inspecting their homes in Abasan al-Kabira.
One of the victims was reportedly identified as 45-year-old Farid Hassan Qdeih.

Local sources, cited by the official Palestinian News Agency WAFA, reported that the Israeli aircraft fired missiles at civilians surveying the ruins of their houses.
Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces opened heavy machine-gun fire toward the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, according to local accounts.
Al-Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that Israeli warplanes launched three airstrikes and bombed several buildings east of the city.
In Rafah, Israeli naval forces fired shells toward the coast, while in Gaza City, occupation troops blew up residential buildings. Local sources said Israeli drones dropped bombs near camps for displaced persons close to the Sheja’iyya junction, east of Gaza City.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, approximately 93 Palestinians have been killed and more than 300 injured in ongoing Israeli attacks, while civil defense teams have recovered the bodies of 464 people from beneath the rubble.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that the overall death toll from Israel’s war on the Strip has now risen to 68,519, with 170,382 others injured since October 7, 2023.
