A former army officer claimed that a leading subcontracting company told him that 12 to 15 distribution sites were being planned to open in Gaza.
A leading US military subcontractor, UG Solutions, is reportedly gearing up for the possible deployment of security guards for several aid distribution sites to be set up in Gaza by next month.
According to the Drop Site news website, a former army officer who applied for a position at UG Solutions, the subcontractor that provided security for the notorious Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), said he was told by a company official last month that 12 to 15 sites were being planned to open in Gaza.

The official reportedly told the army officer that the company was “going to need a lot more guys” and that deployment was expected by early to mid-December.
The deployments would last around 90 days, and the salary “would be $800 per day for a ‘static guard’ and $1,000 per day for ‘mobile guard’ duty, plus a $180 per diem.”
Drop Site noted that private military contractors in aid distribution first began operating in May with the establishment of four distribution sites by GHF in the enclave. Many of those deployed by UG Solutions were US military veterans, the report said.
Thousands Killed
More than 2,600 Palestinians seeking food aid were killed and over 19,000 wounded by Israeli occupation forces or security contractors at or near aid distribution sites in the four months that GHF operated in Gaza, acccording to the report. The sites were officially dismantled after the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect on October 10.
In an email from UG Solutions to Drop Site, the company’s senior vice president of government affairs Jennifer Counter reportedly said that “UG Solutions is preparing for a wide range of potential scenarios in Gaza, ranging from an advisory role based on our experience from January 2025 to the present day, to a robust security presence in support of humanitarian aid delivery and possible technical assistance to the International Security Force.”

Counter also reportedly noted that “UG Solutions is in on-going discussions with relevant stakeholders about the situation on the ground in Gaza, our experiences there, and ways that we can again assist the humanitarian aid system and distributions.”
She said the US-led UN Security Council resolution passed on November 17 “will likely help bring clarity to next steps in Gaza and UG is prepared to respond rapidly should our services be requested.”
Drop Site also reported that one day after the $30 million GHF contract in Gaza officially ended, “a new U.S. contract with a company called Q2IMPACT was initiated, amounting to $7 million over five years.” Its purpose, according to the report, is to “monitor the efficacy of humanitarian aid in Palestine and Lebanon.”
‘Death Traps’
A retired US soldier and former UGS contractor, Anthony Aguilar, who worked as a mercenary at GHF aid distribution sites in Gaza, said the sites were designed as “death traps.” In July, he went public describing how he witnessed Palestinian aid-seekers being shot at, at the aid sites, including a five-year-old boy who was killed.
According to a report by Responsible Statescraft (RS), Aguilar said he believes Q2IMPACT is taking over the work of the GHF and Safe Reach Solutions, which had coordinated private aid with the US and Israel.

“The intent of the privatized aid mechanism under GHF, now under Q2IMPACT and UGS, is to displace the population, establish precursors to kill unarmed civilians, and implement systematic starvation under the guise of humanitarian aid,” he reportedly said.
A company spokesperson, however, told RS that it was not aware of any new companies contracted to do “humanitarian or logistics work in Gaza” at the moment, adding that UG Solutions “has not been retained by Q2IMPACT nor has had any conversations with the firm, though we are open to discussions with them.”
Reports Denied
The US State Department, RS reported, denied any intention of returning to privatized aid operations.

The report also pointed out that the US “is now discussing the possibility of building temporary towns of ‘vetted’ Palestinians inside Israeli-controlled portions of Gaza, which they refer to as ‘alternative safe communities.’”
RS stated that it “is unclear whether these plans have any relation to the new aid distribution points that UGS is reportedly staffing up for.”
Staggering Death Toll
Starting on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military, with American support, launched a genocidal war against the people of Gaza. This campaign has so far resulted in the deaths of close to 70,000 Palestinians, with more than 170,000 wounded. The vast majority of the population has been displaced, and the destruction of infrastructure is unprecedented since World War II. Thousands of people are still missing.
Amnesty: Israel is ‘Still Committing Genocide’ in Gaza despite Ceasefire
In addition to the military assault, the Israeli blockade has caused a man-made famine, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians—mostly children—with hundreds of thousands more at risk.
Despite widespread international condemnation, little has been done to hold Israel accountable. The nation is currently under investigation for genocide by the International Court of Justice, while accused war criminals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are officially wanted by the International Criminal Court.
