Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-ranging campaign of raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, while illegal Israeli Jewish settlers intensified attacks on Palestinian communities, forcing entire families and communities from their homes amid warnings of a broader displacement campaign.

Key Developments

  • Israeli occupation forces launched arrest raids across multiple West Bank districts, with concentrated operations in Qalqilya, Tubas, Jenin, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Nablus, Jerusalem, and Hebron (Al-Khalil).
  • At least 14 Palestinians were detained in the town of Azzun east of Qalqilya, as homes were stormed and searched.
  • Israeli occupation forces carried out incursions accompanied by live gunfire, stun grenades, and tear gas in several towns and refugee camps.
  • Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers escalated attacks on Palestinian communities, including assaults on mourners, arson attacks on homes, land seizures, and livestock grazing near residences.
  • The United Nations confirmed the complete displacement of the Ras Ein al-Auja community in the Jordan Valley following sustained settler violence.
  • Human rights groups warn that the forced emptying of Ras Ein al-Auja signals a wider plan to displace Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley and Masafer Yatta to consolidate settlement expansion.

Israeli Raids and Arrest Campaigns

According to reporting by Quds News Network (QNN), Israeli occupation forces carried out coordinated raids across several West Bank areas overnight and into Saturday, focusing on mass arrests and home invasions.

In the Qalqilya district, Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, detaining 14 Palestinians during a large-scale operation that included raids on multiple homes.

Further north, Israeli occupation troops raided homes in the city of Tubas and the nearby town of Tammun, detaining a number of residents. In the Nablus area, forces stormed the village of Madma, south of Nablus, where homes were searched amid a heavy military presence.

The War beyond Gaza: Israel’s Silent Shock Campaign in the West Bank

In the Tulkarm district, Israeli occupation forces pushed into the al-Mahjar neighborhood of the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, firing live ammunition during the incursion.

Raids were also reported in Jericho, where Israeli occupation troops stormed Jerusalem Street and the municipal housing area opposite the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho.

In Jenin, occupation forces surrounded a home near Ibn Sina Hospital, detaining a young man, and later detained Manar Fayeq Mismar after raiding her house in the Jabal Abu Dhahir area of the city.

Meanwhile, south of Jenin, Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Idhna, firing live ammunition and arresting a young Palestinian. Meanwhile, in the Ramallah district, troops stormed the towns of Kafr Ein and Beit Rima, north of Ramallah, as well as Kafr Ni’ma to the west.

Settler Attacks and Forced Displacement

Alongside military raids, illegal Israeli Jewish settlers intensified coordinated attacks on Palestinian communities, particularly in central and southern areas of the West Bank.

QNN reported that settlers attacked a gathering of mourners in Jaba’a, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Friday evening, injuring several Palestinians.

Illegal settlers also set fire to a residence in the area, forcing residents to intervene to prevent the blaze from spreading. The Jerusalem Governorate described the attack as part of a systematic policy aimed at forcing Palestinians from their land.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed the complete displacement of the Ras Ein al-Auja community in the Jordan Valley, stating that the last remaining 100 residents were forced out following repeated settler attacks and escalating pressure on local herders. The community has now been entirely emptied of its population.

Observers and human rights groups warn that the forced evacuation of Ras Ein al-Auja may serve as a precursor to wider displacement campaigns targeting other Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley and Masafer Yatta, aimed at linking settlements and reshaping the area’s demographic and geographic reality.

Ramallah and Hebron: Land Seizures and Closures

WAFA reported that illegal Israeli Jewish settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked Palestinian properties in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

A settler and his family seized an agricultural structure belonging to a Palestinian resident in the area south of the village, in what locals described as a renewed attempt to take over the land.

In the eastern plains of Al-Mughayyir, dozens of settlers grazed livestock near Palestinian homes. Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas and stun grenades near the home of Hussam Abu Aliya, causing several Palestinians—mostly children—to suffer from tear gas inhalation.

In Hebron, Israeli occupation forces closed the Bab Al-Zawiya area and Beersheba Street leading into the city center to facilitate a settler incursion into a site that settlers claim is archaeological.

Large numbers of Israeli occupation soldiers forced shop owners to close their businesses and cleared residents from the area to secure the settlers’ entry. Hebron has seen a sharp escalation in such incursions, accompanied by closures and repressive measures against Palestinians.

Repeated Displacement in the Jericho Area

WAFA also reported that Israeli settlers forced a Palestinian family to leave the village of Al-Auja, north of Jericho, after the family had already been forcibly displaced from the Bedouin community of Shalal Al-Auja a week earlier.

The Al-Baydar human rights organization stated that ongoing settler harassment has displaced at least 79 families from Shalal Al-Auja alone.

Human rights advocates warn that the repeated displacement of families in the Jericho area reflects a deliberate pattern aimed at emptying Palestinian communities to expand and consolidate Israeli settlements across strategic areas of the occupied West Bank.
