It confirmed the death of Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahawi, the prime minister of the Government of Change and Building, alongside a number of his fellow ministers.

According to the statement, the Yemeni officials were killed when an Israeli strike targeted them during a routine government session to review the yearly performance of state institutions. Several other ministers were critically wounded and are now receiving medical treatment.
The Yemeni presidency pledged that government institutions will continue to serve the people, declaring that, with God’s help, the caretaker government will carry out its duties. It stressed that state institutions will not be deterred, no matter the scale of the tragedy.
