Six Palestinian police personnel were killed as Israel intensified strikes and continued violations across Gaza.

Key Developments

  • Six Palestinian police officers and personnel were killed in an Israeli strike targeting a Gaza police station.
  • Hamas said attacks on police aim to undermine social order and create a security vacuum.
  • Israeli airstrikes, shelling and demolitions continued across multiple areas of Gaza.

Strike Targets Police Station

Six Palestinian police officers and personnel were killed and others injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a police station in the Al-Tuam area northwest of Gaza City on Saturday, amid continuing Israeli attacks across the Strip despite the ceasefire agreement.

The attack came as Israeli occupation forces continued shelling, drone strikes and demolitions across several areas of Gaza, while Palestinian officials warned of escalating humanitarian and security consequences linked to ongoing violations.

Local sources said the airstrike hit a police station in the Al-Tuam area, killing six personnel and wounding several others.

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned the attack, describing the systematic targeting of police personnel as a “clear war crime” and arguing that the attacks form part of a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing life inside Gaza.

The movement said police officers targeted in the strike were carrying out duties related to maintaining public security and civil order.

According to Hamas, attacks on police infrastructure seek to “strike at the social fabric and create a security vacuum” after Israel failed to force Palestinians into surrender.

The movement accused Israel of implementing a plan intended to spread chaos throughout Gaza by weakening institutions responsible for maintaining social stability.

Hamas called on states guaranteeing the ceasefire agreement to intervene and halt what it described as serious violations, while urging support for civilian police structures operating in the Strip.

Resistance Committees Blame Washington

The Palestinian Resistance Committees strongly condemned the strike and held the US administration directly responsible for continued escalation.

In a statement, the group said Washington remained a direct partner in Israeli actions by continuing political and military support.

It also urged mediators to intervene immediately and compel Israel to halt its ongoing military operations in Gaza.

Elsewhere, Al Mayadeen reported that a young Palestinian man was injured after an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on Al-Nuzha Street in Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Israeli occupation forces also demolished residential buildings northeast of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. Local sources said two Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Additional injuries were reported after Israeli drone strikes in Halawa camp in northern Gaza.

Israeli artillery shelled northeastern Beit Lahia and areas east of Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, while Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting eastern Nuseirat refugee camp.

Israeli occupation forces have continued military operations and demolitions within areas surrounding the so-called Yellow Line while maintaining restrictions on aid deliveries, movement, and travel.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, eight Palestinians were killed, and 29 were wounded over the past 48 hours.

The ministry said casualties recorded since the ceasefire agreement took effect in October reached 890 killed and 2,677 wounded.

The overall toll since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 72,783 Palestinians killed and 172,779 wounded, while many victims remain trapped beneath rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams.
