Israel’s deliberate targeting of journalists continues, first in Gaza, now in South Lebanon.

A journalist was killed and a number of other journalists were wounded after they were targeted in a direct strike by the Israeli army inside Lebanon.

The Reuters cameraman, Issam Abdallah, was reporting along with other journalists in the Lebanese border town of Alma Al-Shaab in south Lebanon when their car was struck by a direct Israeli hit.

Reuters said that it is saddened by the death of the cameraman, adding that it is looking for more information, working with the authorities in the area, and trying to provide support for Abdallah’s family and colleagues.

Three other journalists were also injured in the attack.

A video circulated on social media showed the car in flames, with bodies of injured journalists scattered around.

The Palestine Chronicle family expresses its heartfelt condolences to Abdallah’s family and colleagues and calls for worldwide condemnation of Israel’s deliberate targeting of journalists. We also wish a speedy recovery for the injured journalists.
