‘Unjust, Brutal, Criminal Aggression’

The leader of the Ansarallah movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, strongly condemned the US-Israeli war on Iran, describing it as an “unjust, brutal and criminal aggression” against a Muslim nation and warning that it forms part of a broader regional project aimed at securing Israeli domination in the Middle East.

Speaking during one of his Ramadan lectures, al-Houthi said the attack on Iran is part of a wider strategy by the United States and Israel to reshape the region politically and militarily, paving the way for what he described as the Zionist objective of controlling the Middle East.

He argued that the war is not merely directed against Iran but represents a broader confrontation targeting the entire region and the Islamic world.

“The American–Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran is part of the Zionist project aimed at enabling the Israeli enemy to dominate the region,” he said.

Legitimate Self-Defense

Al-Houthi emphasized that Iran’s response falls within the framework of legitimate self-defense.

According to the Ansarallah leader, the United States and Israel expect countries that are attacked to remain passive and refrain from responding, an expectation he described as unacceptable.

He stated that Iranian forces, including the Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian army, are fulfilling what he called a “sacred duty” to defend the country against aggression.

“Iran, with its Revolutionary Guard and its brave army, is carrying out its sacred duty of legitimate defense against the enemies,” he said, adding that Tehran possesses significant military capabilities and the determination to confront the war.

He also insisted that Iran’s attacks on American military bases across the region should not be interpreted as attacks on the countries hosting those bases.

“These are American military bases participating in the aggression against Iran, and therefore Iran has the right to target them,” al-Houthi said.

Criticism of Arab Governments

A major part of al-Houthi’s speech focused on criticism of several Arab governments, which he accused of aligning themselves with Washington and Tel Aviv.

He said some regimes in the region have openly demonstrated loyalty to the United States and Israel and are contributing to the war effort against Iran.

According to al-Houthi, these governments are providing political, media, financial, and even military support to the US-Israeli campaign.

He specifically criticized the rush by some Arab states to defend American military bases in the Gulf, arguing that those bases are the launching points for attacks on Iran.

Al-Houthi described this behavior as evidence that what he called “the movement of hypocrisy” within the Arab world has been exposed.

Media War

Al-Houthi also attacked Arab media outlets, accusing many of them of supporting what he called tyrannical regimes and attempting to justify their actions.

He argued that large parts of the Arab media landscape have become tools of propaganda used to legitimize war and suppress opposition among the region’s populations.

According to him, these outlets are conducting psychological warfare against the peoples of the region by portraying US and Israeli actions as justified or necessary.

He called on supporters across the region to counter this narrative through social media campaigns and public mobilization in solidarity with Iran.

Zionist Influence

During the speech, al-Houthi also expanded his criticism of what he described as global Zionist influence.

He argued that the broader objectives of Zionism are rooted in domination and control of the region, linking them to long-standing geopolitical ambitions.

In this context, he referenced scandals involving Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting that they reveal elements of what he described as corrupt networks tied to global power structures.

He claimed that Zionists had gathered from across the world and came to the region with the goal of controlling it and pursuing what he described as hostile policies toward Islam.

Full Solidarity

Al-Houthi concluded his remarks by reaffirming Yemen’s support for Iran and warning that his movement is prepared for further developments in the conflict.

“Our position in Yemen — both the state and the people — is full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.

He added that the confrontation with the United States and Israel is not only Iran’s battle but one that concerns the entire Muslim world.

According to al-Houthi, Iran’s resistance to the war serves the interests of the region and the Palestinian cause, because Tehran represents what he described as the main obstacle to American and Israeli plans for regional domination.
