Palestinian resistance groups fired rockets at Netivot in response to Israeli crimes, as Israel intensified its destruction of Gaza City under “Gideon’s Chariots 2” operation.
The Israeli occupation army announced that it had detected two rockets launched from central Gaza on Sunday morning toward the Netivot area and settlements adjacent to the Strip, where sirens were sounded.
The Israeli army said that it intercepted one of the rockets, while the other fell in an open area.
Later, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that they had shelled the settlement of Netivot with two rockets “in response to the enemy’s crimes against our people.”
Despite the genocide and starvation campaign waged by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for nearly two years, the Israeli army has not been able to completely eliminate the Palestinian resistance’s ability to launch rockets or prevent operations targeting its forces on an almost daily basis.
On April 6, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, fired around ten rockets at the city of Ashdod in response to Israeli massacres against civilians.

The Israeli army is currently carrying out large-scale demolition operations in Gaza City, blowing up entire residential blocks and destroying what remains of multi-story buildings in order to displace residents, in preparation for invading and occupying the city as part of “Gideon’s Chariots 2” operation.
For their part, the Al-Qassam Brigades launched “Moses’ Staff” operations to confront the occupation forces, and in recent days targeted several tanks, vehicles, and troop gatherings in various areas, especially the Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City and Jabalia in the north of the Strip.
Ongoing Genocide
Since reneging on the ceasefire on March 18, Israel has continued its bloody aerial bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding thousands of Palestinians.
Starting on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military, with American support, launched a genocidal war against the people of Gaza. This campaign has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 64,000 Palestinians, with more than 161,500 wounded. The vast majority of the population has been displaced, and the destruction of infrastructure is unprecedented since World War II. Thousands of people are still missing.

In addition to the military assault, the Israeli blockade has caused a man-made famine, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians—mostly children—with hundreds of thousands more at risk.
Despite widespread international condemnation, little has been done to hold Israel accountable. The nation is currently under investigation for genocide by the International Court of Justice, while accused war criminals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are officially wanted by the International Criminal Court.
