Drone Strike Hits Military Vehicle
Israeli media reported Thursday that members of the Israeli army were injured after a Hezbollah drone exploded in the settlement of Shomera in the Western Galilee.
According to the reports, the drone accurately struck a target in the area, causing a fire and igniting a military vehicle after what was described as a booby-trapped drone attack.
Israeli fire and rescue authorities confirmed that a blaze erupted following a direct strike in an open area, adding that a vehicle at the location caught fire.
Images and videos circulated by Israeli media showed smoke rising from the site following the explosion.
Israeli Drone Shot Down over South Lebanon
In a related development, Israeli media quoted the army spokesperson as saying that an Israeli drone had been shot down in southern Lebanon.
According to the reports, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah targeted the drone with a surface-to-air missile, marking another escalation in the ongoing aerial confrontation along the border.
The incident comes amid increasing exchanges between Hezbollah and Israeli forces despite the ceasefire agreement announced earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that Hezbollah launched missiles, shells, and drones toward northern settlements Thursday morning, triggering sirens across multiple areas.
The alerts reportedly caused transportation disruptions in what Israeli media described as an exceptional scene, with aerial interceptions visible above settlements in the north.
Residents were seen taking cover as air defense systems attempted to intercept incoming projectiles.
‘Defending Lebanon’
Hezbollah said its operations were carried out “within the framework of defending Lebanon and its people” and in response to continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The group cited ongoing Israeli attacks targeting towns and villages in southern Lebanon, including strikes that killed civilians and wounded others, as well as repeated violations of Lebanese airspace.
Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out strikes and demolition operations across southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire.
Lebanese sources report ongoing bombardment of villages and towns, destruction of homes and infrastructure, and restrictions preventing residents from returning to affected areas.
