Iran Warns against New ‘Miscalculation’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned the United States and Israel against further military escalation, saying Iranian forces remained prepared to respond forcefully to any renewed attack.

The warning was issued in a statement marking Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates Iran’s resistance during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War.

The IRGC said Iran’s Armed Forces remained at a high level of readiness, linking the country’s current military capabilities to lessons developed during the eight-year war.

“We are prepared for a decisive and destructive response against the worn-down and aggressive enemy should the adversary front make any miscalculation,” the statement said.

The IRGC also said Washington and Israel would ultimately have to accept a regional order without their military presence.

“The United States and the Zionist entity must understand this fact: sooner or later, they will have to accept a region free of their ominous and criminal presence, and, God willing, there will be no escape from this fate,” it said.

The statement highlighted Iran’s domestic military production and national cohesion as central components of its defense strategy.

Earlier on Monday, IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohibbi said Iran was preparing for the possibility of a prolonged war. He warned that another round of attacks would lead Tehran to expand its targets, alter the geography of the confrontation and deploy weapons it had not previously used.

Al-Houthi: Yemen War is ‘A People’s Issue’

Meanwhile, Ansarallah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the ongoing confrontation in Yemen was not limited to his movement but represented a broader national struggle.

“What is happening in Yemen is not a Houthi issue,” al-Houthi said. “It is a people’s issue and a people’s stance.”

He accused the United States of providing “political cover” for Saudi attacks and said Riyadh had launched its campaign in response to Yemen’s military intervention in support of Gaza.

According to al-Houthi, Saudi Arabia sought to dismantle Yemen’s military capabilities while simultaneously using media campaigns to discredit Sana’a’s position in support of Palestine.

He said the Saudi blockade had pushed living conditions in Yemen to a “catastrophic level.”

Al-Houthi also pointed to military buildups involving thousands of vehicles carrying weapons, saying Saudi officers were directly overseeing forces operating inside Yemeni governorates.

Warning to Türkiye, Pakistan

Al-Houthi accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to draw additional countries into its military campaign, specifically naming Türkiye and Pakistan.

He urged both countries, as well as other governments, not to become involved alongside Riyadh in exchange for political or economic benefits.

Any country that joined Saudi Arabia would be a “loser” and would bear responsibility for crimes committed against the Yemeni people, al-Houthi said.

He maintained that Yemen’s demands were “fair and legitimate” and said outside parties seeking involvement should instead adopt a constructive position toward resolving them.

Addressing recent Saudi allegations concerning Mecca, al-Houthi reiterated Yemen’s rejection of any suggestion that it would target the holy city.

Yemenis “do not consider Mecca a Saudi emirate,” he said, but rather “an Islamic landmark for all Muslims.”

He stressed that Yemen regarded the sanctity and protection of Mecca as a responsibility shared by Muslims.

Al-Houthi concluded that Yemen would continue to defend its legitimate national rights while maintaining its commitment to regional causes, “foremost among them the Palestinian cause.”
