A senior resistance security source says Israel deliberately bombed sites used to detain its own collaborators.
Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted on Saturday locations used to detain individuals accused of espionage for Israel in Gaza, Al-Jazeera reported, citing a senior source within the Palestinian resistance’s security apparatus.
Speaking to local media, the source said the strikes were precise and systematic, aimed at facilities where recently arrested collaborators were being held.
He explained that some of those targeted were members of mercenary groups involved in carrying out security-related tasks on behalf of Israel inside the Gaza Strip.
According to the source, this tactic is part of a longstanding Israeli intelligence approach, involving repeated attacks on detention sites in an attempt to conceal intelligence networks and weaken the resistance’s security structure.
On the day before yesterday, Israeli forces killed 31 Palestinians in airstrikes that hit multiple locations, including a police station in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and tents housing displaced families in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza.
Several Attempts Thwarted
The senior security source said resistance security services had recently foiled several hostile operations carried out by cells linked to Israel, which were attempting to sow internal disorder in Gaza or gather sensitive field intelligence.
He noted that these efforts led to the arrest of several individuals while they were preparing to carry out dangerous missions, while others were killed during raids that targeted sites where they were being detained.
The source stressed that resistance security forces continue to closely monitor this issue, emphasizing that Israel will not be allowed to exploit collaborators to undermine internal stability. He added that the intelligence struggle is no less critical than the military one.
These statements come amid measures announced by resistance security services in recent weeks, during which they disclosed multiple cases involving Israel’s collaborators, saying Israel has intensified their use to target Palestinian security infrastructure, locate resistance fighters, and collect on-the-ground intelligence.
Separately, the Palestinian Tribes and Clans Assembly in the Gaza Strip announced it would withdraw tribal protection from anyone proven to be involved in actions that threaten community security, while reaffirming its support for efforts aimed at safeguarding internal stability and protecting the home front.
