‘They Killed My Son before My Eyes’
According to a report by Drop Site News, Dr. Munir al-Bursh witnessed the Israeli attack that killed his son only meters away from him.
Basir had been serving displaced Palestinians and helping them fill their water containers when he was killed, his brother Mohammed al-Bursh, a general physician working in Gaza, said.
Mohammed was on duty when he learned that his brother had been killed.
“The occupation targeted him in his tent. He was only meters away from me. It killed my son before my eyes. This oppressive occupation tore him in half with modern missiles. This is the occupation,” Dr. al-Bursh said.
At Al-Shifa Hospital, Basir’s mother mourned her son.
“My darling, my baby. My darling, my life. I hope I did not fall short with him,” she said.
Basir’s aunt, Yasmin al-Bursh, described the repeated losses endured by Palestinian families throughout Israel’s genocide.
“Every day, we lose our youth. Every day, we lose our children. Every day, we lose our women,” she said.
“Little by little, we will all be gone. There is almost no one left,” she added. “Who is left? Who is left? No one is left.”
Basir’s killing came nearly three years after Dr. al-Bursh’s 13-year-old daughter, Jinan, was killed in an Israeli strike in December 2023. Dr. al-Bursh was wounded and suffered fractures in the same attack.

Israeli Fire across the Enclave
While the al-Bursh family mourned Basir, Israeli forces continued attacking several other areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli military vehicles intermittently opened fire east of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to witnesses.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire in the Al-Shakoush area, southwest of Khan Yunis, while drones dropped bombs on the same area.
Israeli helicopters also opened heavy fire south of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis, and in neighboring areas of Rafah.
The attacks formed part of Israel’s continuing violations of the ceasefire that entered into effect in October 2025.
Despite the truce, Israeli forces have continued carrying out drone strikes, artillery attacks, shootings and demolitions across the Gaza Strip.

Death Toll Rises to 73,910
Gaza’s overall death toll from Israel’s genocidal war has risen to 73,910, while 174,914 Palestinians have been wounded since October 7, 2023, medical sources told the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Hospitals across the Gaza Strip received four bodies and 17 wounded Palestinians during the previous 48 hours.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,390 Palestinians and wounded another 4,801.
The bodies of 831 Palestinians have also been recovered since the ceasefire began.
Health authorities added 85 fatalities to the cumulative death toll after completing and officially verifying their information following the previous update on September 5.
An unknown number of victims remained trapped beneath destroyed buildings or lying on roads that ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to reach.
Israel’s genocidal war has also destroyed approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, leaving much of the enclave uninhabitable.

THIS is exactly why October 7th happened, and why that attack was fully justified. Although most people don’t understand that that attack was only a response after years; decades of Israeli aggression, murder, Genocide. And if it happens again, it will be fully justified. The Israeli ” Jewish ” Nazis will never stop murdering Arab, AND Israeli children in Palestine. If there was any common sense, all forces of the world would storm in, remove all the citizens, and take out the IDF as well as all members of the so-called government, and erase the name Israel from history books, maps, all of it. There is no Israel and there never was one.
It’s Palestine.
Zionist israeli’s do not just kill Arabs, while they do prioritize murdering Palestinian children, they target journalists, health workers and aid workers of any background.
israel is a blight on the civilized world and should not be permitted to exist as a nation.
Let the zionists go back to Europe and US where they came from.
Prosecute the criminals.
US is a
Agreed!!!
Hear hear! If our leaders had an ounce of integrity, we would do this. We live in shameful and ugly times.
It’s an embarrassment that the world sits on its hands waiting for a miracle to stop Israelis from committing these atrocities. The US is basically dismantling the UN, the one body that could act to send in an armed protective force under Uniting for Peace in the General Assembly. But one country needs to bring the resolution in the General Assembly, and the people of the world need to support their missions to carry it to a vote. Israel will only be stopped by force.
