The Israeli Air Forces (IAF) carried out several airstrikes against the Gaza Strip during Friday night.

The four airstrikes targeted the Hittin (south) and Askalan (north) military training sites, belonging to the Palestinian resistance and a metal workshop belonging to the Hassainin family in Alzaytoun neighborhood to the south of Gaza. The airstrikes also targeted a container in the town of Beit Hanoon.

No injuries were reported.

Israel claims the airstrikes were in retaliation to a rocket fired from Gaza into Sederot.

The airstrikes took place as thousands of Palestinians were leaving mosques following a night-long prayer held on the 26th night of Ramadan, which is a holy night in Islam and is also known as the ‘night of power’.
