Israeli drone strikes and shelling killed two civilians and wounded others across south Lebanon on Sunday, as Lebanon reported continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Two civilians were killed and several others injured on Sunday in a series of Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon, in a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
An Israeli drone strike hit the town of Jwayya in the Tyre district, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported. A member of the town’s municipal council was among those killed in the attack.
Earlier, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed that one Lebanese citizen was killed and another wounded when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Yater, in the Bint Jbeil district. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone struck a car in Safad al-Battikh, also in Bint Jbeil, killing the driver.
According to Al Mayadeen, the strikes are part of a broader escalation in Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians in the border town of al-Dhayrah, though no injuries were reported. Israeli artillery also shelled Wadi al-Yas and al-Shanouh, on the outskirts of Halta in the Arqoub region.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli helicopter dropped explosives on two excavators in Shebaa, while Israeli occupation forces stationed at the Ramtha position fired machine guns toward the Bustra farm.
The attacks coincided with intensified Israeli drone overflights across southern Lebanon, including over Yanouh, a town Israeli forces had explicitly threatened to target on Saturday. Residents in several other southern towns also reported persistent aerial violations.
In a related development, the Lebanese Army said it inspected a building in Yanouh that Israel had threatened to bomb. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Cessation of Hostilities Implementation Mechanism and UNIFIL. The army confirmed that no weapons or ammunition were found inside the civilian residence.
Hezbollah Issues Warning amid Rising Israeli Attacks across Lebanon
The repeated demands for the Lebanese Army to carry out such inspections were criticized as violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty and raised questions about the legitimacy of the searches.
On Saturday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem warned that the Israeli occupation poses a direct threat to Lebanon, stating that “with surrender there would no longer be a Lebanon.”
Speaking at a ceremony organized by Hezbollah’s Women’s Action Unit, Qassem said the Lebanese state now bears responsibility for safeguarding national sovereignty and independence. He affirmed that Hezbollah has met its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and continues to support the government in that framework.
Qassem also cautioned against American-Israeli plans targeting Lebanon, stressing that the Lebanese government should refrain from making further concessions.
