Israeli occupation forces killed three Palestinians — including a 16-year-old child — across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, as shootings, bombardment, and airstrikes continued despite the ceasefire that took effect in October.

Key Developments

  • A 16-year-old child was shot dead in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
  • Two young men were killed in Beit Lahia and east of Deir Al-Balah.
  • Israeli strikes hit Rafah and eastern Khan Yunis, damaging a water reservoir.
  • More than 1,200 patients have died waiting for travel permits for treatment.
  • Since the ceasefire, roughly 580 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,500 wounded.

Child Killed in Zaytoun

Medical sources reported that Israeli occupation forces shot and killed 16-year-old Mohammed al-Sarhi near Salah al-Din Mosque in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The killing occurred during Israeli fire in the area, which witnesses described as part of ongoing daily incidents along zones under Israeli military control following the ceasefire.

Palestinian sources had earlier reported a child killed in the same neighborhood; the victim was later identified as al-Sarhi.

The incident reflects a pattern of shootings in areas where residents attempt to move, inspect homes, or access damaged property in neighborhoods close to Israeli positions.

Fatal Incidents in Northern and Central Gaza

In the northern town of Beit Lahia, Salem Rouhi al-Sous, 33, was killed by an explosive device attributed to Israeli occupation forces. An 18-year-old, Nabil Hassan al-Sous, was wounded in the same incident, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

In a separate case in central Gaza, 20-year-old Naseem Abu al-Ajeen was reportedly shot dead east of Deir Al-Balah after Israeli gunfire targeted the area.

These incidents occurred in geographically separate locations within hours, underscoring the dispersed nature of lethal force across the Strip despite the formal truce.

Airstrikes and Damage to Civilian Infrastructure

Israeli aircraft and artillery carried out raids across southern Gaza, Al-Jazeera reported.

Airstrikes hit Rafah, while another strike targeted eastern Khan Yunis, including a water reservoir. The attack worsened an already severe water shortage affecting large parts of the enclave, where water networks remain heavily damaged and dependent on limited pumping capacity.

Earlier in the day and overnight, additional shelling and aerial bombardment struck various areas, particularly zones under Israeli military presence.

Images from northern Gaza also showed widespread destruction in Jabaliya refugee camp following repeated bombardment in recent days.

Healthcare System near Collapse

The escalation took place amid an increasingly severe medical crisis across the Strip.

Hospitals continue to operate with extreme shortages of medicines, equipment, and specialized staff. Thousands of patients suffer life-threatening conditions because treatment unavailable inside Gaza cannot be accessed abroad.

According to Gaza health authorities, more than 1,200 patients have died while waiting for Israeli permits to travel for treatment outside the enclave. The restrictions on movement have prevented evacuations even in urgent and specialized medical cases.

The shortage of fuel, supplies, and personnel has forced hospitals to ration services while attempting to manage continuous casualties from recurring military incidents.

Ceasefire Violations Continue

Since the ceasefire came into effect in October, Palestinian authorities have reported hundreds of violations involving shootings, bombardment, and attacks on civilian infrastructure.

The violations have killed approximately 580 Palestinians and wounded more than 1,500 others, while additional bodies continue to be recovered from previously inaccessible areas.

Despite the truce formally remaining in place, daily armed incidents across multiple parts of the Gaza Strip continue to produce casualties and further strain humanitarian conditions.

  1. Any and all decent, good Israelis should leave. Then someone should level Israel to the ground so the rest have nowhere to go. The Israelis will not be able to survive in tunnels and stay alive everyday. They would eventually say F it and leave. Until then, nothing will change. The Israeli Jewish Nazis will keep shooting children.
    Talk about ‘ privilege ‘?
the Israelis LITERALLY get away with
    SHOO TING CHIL DREN……
    who would support people who
    SHOOT CHILDREN??????
if it was any other group of people everyone would condemn their actions and stop it immediately ” for the children. but not in Palestine.
    To hell with Wasrael!
    FTRTTSPWBF!
