Sana’a held a massive state funeral for fallen Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, killed by Israel. along with his 13-year-old son.

In a massive demonstration dubbed the “Day of Loyalty to the Loyal,” Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, hosted the funeral procession for the late Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari.

Hundreds of thousands of mourners from across the capital and various provinces converged on Al-Sabeen Square and the People’s Mosque for the solemn event, which featured broad official and popular participation.

The outpouring of grief saw crowds carrying images of Al-Ghamari, the flags of Yemen and Palestine, and banners of the Quranic Project, signifying national unity, a commitment to resistance against US-Israeli wars, and the shared identity of “the Field and the Blood” (unity of cause).

The funeral prayer was led by the Mufti of the Yemeni Lands, Shams Al-Din Sharaf Al-Din, who delivered a firm speech. The Mufti asserted that collaborators with the Israeli and American enemies are considered apostates from Islam, urging citizens to report anyone proven to be involved or concealing such traitors and agents.

He described the killing of Al-Ghamari and his companions as a “divine trial for the believers”, reiterating Yemen’s steadfast adherence to its faith-based position of supporting Palestine and Gaza.

In a separate address, the acting head of the Sana’a government, Muhammad Muftah, acknowledged that the nation was bidding farewell to “a prominent figure and a symbol of the nation’s greats.”

Muftah credited Al-Ghamari and his colleagues with elevating the military establishment to the highest level of contribution and achievement sought by the Yemeni people, noting that “all enemies had collectively sought to target and kill the Lieutenant General.”

The burial followed the prayers, with the body laid to rest beside President Saleh Al-Sammad, a symbolic gesture underscoring the “unity of martyred leaders in the path of Jihad and dignity.”

The Yemeni Armed Forces had announced Al-Ghamari’s death the previous Thursday, affirming that he had fallen on the “Path to Al-Quds (Jerusalem)” while performing his duty. They stressed that Israel would pay the price for this crime. It was further noted that among those who ascended during the aggression were his 13-year-old son, Hussein, and several of his escorts.

Yemen’s Ansarallah Announces Chief of Staff Killed in Israeli Airstrikes

Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari

Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, known to his comrades by the code name “Sayyed Hashem,” emerged from humble beginnings to become a central figure in Yemen’s military and political transformation.

Early Life and Education: Al-Ghamari hailed from the Ghamar area of Al-Midan district in Amran province. He was raised in Sana’a. He graduated from high school with honors and was accepted into the Pharmacy Department at the Faculty of Medicine at Sana’a University.

Imprisonment: In the early 2000s, his support for Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi resulted in his arrest during the regime of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh. His activities, including organizing youth to chant the Ansarallah slogan in Sana’a’s Grand Mosque, led to nearly three years of imprisonment under harsh conditions, including torture and deprivation, despite the charges not strictly violating Yemeni law or constitution.

Joining the War: Following his release in 2007, Al-Ghamari was among hundreds who headed to the harsh terrain of Sa’ada and Haraf Sufyan, where the movement’s followers were persecuted and pursued. During that year, the young Mohammed was entrusted with a major operational role, adopting the nom de guerre “Hashem.” He participated in the movement’s military conflicts domestically and regionally – when an Arab coalition attacked Yemen in 2015.

Rise to Prominence: After the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ period and the subsequent political transition, which Ansarallah considered a foreign-driven conspiracy to restore US-Saudi guardianship, the movement eventually transitioned to governance to fill a constitutional vacuum.

The Ansrallah-Arab War: However, his most defining role began on March 26, 2015, following the Arab coalition’s war in Yemen. Emerging from the shadows, Al-Ghamari was appointed to lead the General Staff. In this role, he masterminded the defense and offensive campaigns across several fronts, while simultaneously spearheading strategic operations.

The Gaza Genocide: Al-Ghamari became a major concern for Israel due to his leadership in translating the Yemeni position on Palestine into new strategic equations against Israel following the start of genocide in Gaza. He directed the naval blockade in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea, extending for the first time in history to the high seas of the Indian Ocean. Concurrently, missile and drone attacks reached deep into Israel.

  1. The Israeli Jewish Nazis are good at killing women and children, elderly and handicapped, and all the heroes fighting to liberate Palestine. The Jewish Nazis don’t WANT peace. They literally can’t help themselves. They execute children, rape male detainees: men and boys…
    and they kill innocent people.
If a nuclear bomb fell on Wasrael, it still wouldn’t be powerful enough to erase the plague that the Zionist Jewish Nazis have left upon this Earth.
