Israeli airstrikes hit Lebanon Wednesday as Hezbollah launched over 100 rockets, escalating cross-border fighting amid ongoing regional war.

Key Developments

  • Israeli strikes kill civilians in Lebanon and target Beirut’s southern suburbs.
  • Hezbollah launches over 100 rockets and multiple attacks on Israeli targets.
  • Fighting intensifies along border as infiltration attempts and counterattacks continue.

Israeli Strikes Across Lebanon

The Israeli army continued its raids on Lebanon on Wednesday, carrying out airstrikes on multiple locations in the south and beyond.

Al-Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli strikes targeted the towns of Toul and Hanin in southern Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, Israeli warplanes struck Beirut’s southern suburbs after issuing warnings to residents to evacuate several neighborhoods. Fighter jets were also seen flying at low altitude over Beirut and the Lebanese coast.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least nine people were killed and 47 others wounded in Israeli attacks targeting several areas in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah Responds with Sustained Rocket Fire

In response, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah announced that it had carried out 11 attacks using missiles and drones, launching more than 100 rockets toward Israeli army positions and settlements.

The attacks targeted Israeli occupation troop gatherings and military vehicles in southern Lebanon, as well as military barracks and settlements in northern occupied Palestine.

Hezbollah said its operations were conducted in defense of Lebanon amid ongoing Israeli aggression since March 2.

The group reported direct hits on Israeli targets, including Merkava tanks in the border town of Qouzah, and said it forced an Israeli military helicopter to retreat after targeting it with an air defense missile during an evacuation attempt.

Clashes Along the Border Intensify

The confrontation has increasingly centered on attempts by Israeli forces to advance into southern Lebanon and Hezbollah’s efforts to repel them.

Hezbollah said it targeted Israeli occupation troop concentrations and vehicles attempting to infiltrate border areas, particularly around Qouzah, using rockets, artillery, and drones.

The group also reported targeting key Israeli military sites in the north, including command centers and barracks near Safed, alongside strikes on settlements such as Kiryat Shmona.

Israeli media reported that at least 30 rockets were launched from Lebanon since early morning, with some intercepted, while sirens sounded across the Western Galilee.

The fighting in Lebanon is unfolding within the broader context of the US-Israeli war on Iran, which began on February 28 and has expanded across multiple fronts.

  1. The entire world will remember that Iran beat the US military.
They were never a threat to the citizens of America. The only threat was that Dondolf Twitler was bought and paid for by the Israeli Jewish Nazis and had to do their bidding. He put the interests of a foreign nation before his own. That is High Treason. We The People deserve better.
