Israeli media described mounting Hezbollah drone operations as the harshest challenge facing occupation forces since the ceasefire.

Key Developments

  • Israeli media said more than 30 explosive drones were launched toward occupation forces and northern occupied Palestine.
  • Reports described the day as “the most difficult” since the April 17 ceasefire agreement.
  • Israeli soldiers reportedly compared conditions in southern Lebanon to being “ducks in a shooting range.”

‘Most Difficult Day’ since Ceasefire

Israeli media on Sunday reported what it described as difficult security incidents in southern Lebanon as Hezbollah intensified drone and rocket operations against Israeli occupation forces, prompting growing concern over mounting losses and the effectiveness of current military responses.

The reports came as the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah continued operations against occupation positions and vehicles in response to ongoing Israeli violations of the April 17 ceasefire agreement.

Israeli media reported that more than 30 explosive drones were launched by Hezbollah toward occupation forces and northern occupied Palestine over the course of the day.

Media outlets described developments as “the most difficult day in Lebanon since the ceasefire,” amid multiple security incidents and reports of casualties.

Israeli reports also said all affected families had already been informed of injuries and casualties connected to the incidents.

Separate reports indicated that two Israeli soldiers were killed after a Hezbollah drone strike, while additional casualties were reported following attacks involving explosive-laden drones.

‘Ducks in a Shooting Range’

Israel’s Channel 12 said soldiers operating in southern Lebanon had increasingly described their conditions as being like “ducks in a shooting range,” reflecting what reports characterized as growing vulnerability on the battlefield.

The channel said the scale of drone launches and the resulting consequences “within what is allowed to be published” exposed the seriousness of the challenge facing Israeli forces.

It further stated that Hezbollah had demonstrated not merely endurance but sustained battlefield effectiveness over weeks of intense fighting.

The report added that Israeli forces had become constrained by broader political and military calculations linked to US President Donald Trump’s directives, leaving soldiers’ “hands tied.”

Search for Protection against Drones

Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported that Israeli soldiers had sought unconventional methods to address the expanding drone challenge.

According to the report, fighters recently approached fishermen at Lake Tiberias seeking fishing nets as possible protection measures against incoming drones.

The comments reflected growing public discussion within Israeli media over what many outlets described as the absence of effective solutions to Hezbollah’s explosive drone operations.

Resistance Operations Continue

Hezbollah announced multiple operations targeting occupation soldiers and military vehicles in southern Lebanon using rocket salvos and ‘Ababil’ attack drones.

Later Sunday, the resistance released footage documenting strikes on Merkava tanks, military vehicles, military tankers, a D9 bulldozer, technical equipment and positions occupied by Israeli soldiers in the town of Rashaf.

The footage also showed what it described as the withdrawal of occupation forces from parts of the targeted area following the attacks.

Meanwhile, Israeli Health Ministry figures showed injuries continuing to rise.

Israeli authorities announced five additional injuries, bringing the total number of injuries linked to the American-Israeli war on Iran to 8,831.

According to the figures, 930 injuries were linked specifically to developments connected to Lebanon after the Iran ceasefire on April 8, while 515 injuries were recorded since the Lebanon ceasefire agreement on April 17.
