Three Palestinians were killed in new Israeli attacks in southern Gaza, as the death toll from Israel’s two-year genocide and starvation campaign rises to nearly 69,000.

Three Palestinians were killed on Monday by Israeli gunfire north of Rafah, while a fourth was injured by an Israeli drone strike in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza, Al-Jazeera reported, citing the Nasser Medical Complex.

The Israeli army claimed responsibility, alleging it had “eliminated terrorists” attempting to cross what it calls the “yellow line” along Gaza’s southern border.

Al-Jazeera’s correspondent also confirmed that Israeli warplanes carried out new airstrikes in eastern Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Israeli army sealed off the Philadelphi Corridor, which runs along the Gaza–Egypt border, as part of a search operation for the bodies of Israeli prisoners killed during the recent war.

Earlier, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israel’s two-year campaign of genocide and starvation has climbed to 68,865 Palestinians killed and 170,670 wounded since October 7, 2023.

According to its daily update, hospitals in Gaza received seven bodies in the past 24 hours — including three newly killed, three recovered from under the rubble, and one who succumbed to his wounds — along with six other injuries.

Since October 2023, Israel’s war has devastated nearly 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure, leaving behind a humanitarian catastrophe and estimated material losses exceeding $70 billion.
