Despite aggressive, and at times violent harassment of activists by the security at the port, activists continued to block streets, as others joined them throughout the day.

Hundreds of activists from across the state of Washington gathered at the port of Tacoma, starting at dawn on Monday, to block a US weapons shipment from heading to Israel.

Crowds of people gathered at the main port area, but also on side streets blockading the streets from all directions, thus preventing trucks from reaching the loading zone.

Despite aggressive, and at times violent harassment of activists by the security at the port, activists continued to block streets, as others joined them throughout the day.

By the time of writing this article, the blockade of the trucks continues.

The Reservist Vessel MV Cape Orlando had arrived from Oakland where it was also met by a similar attempt at blockading its movement.

On Friday, Pro-Palestine activists demanding an end to the US-backed Israeli war in Gaza delayed the ship for several hours in the Port of Oakland.

This is a developing story.
