Iran and Hezbollah escalate retaliation with missiles, drones, and regional strikes, hitting Israel, US bases, and defenses.
Key Developments
- Iran’s Wave 79 targets Israeli infrastructure and US bases using missiles and drones across multiple countries.
- Hezbollah strikes Israeli forces and Iron Dome systems, causing casualties in northern Israel.
- Fragmentation missiles hit central Israel, with injuries and damage reported in major urban areas.
Iran Expands Regional Strikes
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 79th wave of its “True Promise 4” operation, targeting what it described as critical Israeli and US-linked infrastructure.
According to the IRGC, the strikes included satellite reception stations in Eilat used by the Israeli military.
The operation also targeted multiple US military bases across the region, including Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain, and the Ali Al-Salem and Arifjan bases in Kuwait.
Iran stated that the attacks were carried out using a combination of long- and medium-range missile systems powered by both solid and liquid fuel, alongside suicide drones, adding that the designated targets were hit with precision.
The IRGC said the latest wave of operations was dedicated to the “child martyr of Tabriz and her family.”
In parallel, Iranian air defenses intercepted two AGM-158 cruise missiles over Tehran, according to the same statement.
Iranian officials said these operations are part of an ongoing response since February 28 to US-Israeli strikes targeting residential areas and military and civlian infrastructure.
Iranian Warnings
The IRGC warned that it would expand its targeting if Israeli operations continue in Gaza and Lebanon.
In a statement, it said it would target concentrations of Israeli forces in northern Palestine and the Gaza envelope with missiles and drones if attacks on civilians persist.
A senior Iranian political-security official said that one condition for ending the war would be its cessation across all fronts in the region.
Separately, Iran enforced new controls in the Strait of Hormuz, with naval forces turning back the container ship SELEN for lacking proper authorization to transit the waterway.
Iranian officials emphasized that the strait remains closed to countries involved in the war, while remaining open to others under coordination with Iranian naval authorities.

Hezbollah Targets Israeli Positions
On the northern front, Hezbollah announced a series of coordinated operations targeting Israeli military positions.
The group said it struck a concentration of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the Taybeh project area using rocket salvos.
It also targeted artillery positions in the Dishon settlement with rockets.
In parallel, Hezbollah deployed attack drones against Iron Dome systems, targeting platforms in Zaoura, Misgav Am, and Metula.
Israeli media reported casualties from these attacks, including one fatality and six injuries following rocket fire toward Safed and the Mahanaim junction.
Reports also indicated falling projectiles or missile fragments in Safed, though details on the extent of damage remained limited.

Central Israel Hit
In central Israel, Iranian missile strikes hit urban areas, with reports of fragmentation and cluster-type munitions causing damage and injuries.
Israeli media reported that a fragmentation missile evaded interception systems, dispersing submunitions over Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva.
Material damage was recorded in both locations.
Two injuries were reported following the strike, while emergency services confirmed casualties across multiple areas in the greater Tel Aviv region.
Earlier reports also indicated falling missile fragments and shrapnel in central Israel, contributing to the scale of the impact.
