Israeli Attacks
Israeli occupation forces continued a broad campaign of airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Sunday, targeting multiple towns and villages and causing additional civilian casualties.
According to Al-Mayadeen correspondents, Israeli warplanes and drones struck Nabatieh, Doueir, Srifa, Deir Kifa and Bint Jbeil, among other areas across the south.
One person was killed after an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Zefta in the Nabatieh district. Another Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in Shahabiyeh in the Tyre district.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced that the death toll from Saturday’s Israeli attack on the town of Saksakiyeh in Sidon district had risen.
According to the ministry, two people were killed and 22 others wounded in the strike.
Among the injured were a woman and three children.
The updated figures came as Israeli aircraft continued carrying out attacks throughout southern Lebanon.
The latest raids followed Saturday’s strike on a Lebanese military vehicle along the Kfartebnit-Khardali road, which killed a brigadier general, a captain and a soldier from the Lebanese Armed Forces.
Israeli Military Losses
As attacks continued across Lebanon, Israel announced additional military casualties linked to fighting in the south.
The Israeli military said Captain Shahar Gamla, deputy commander of a company in the Egoz Unit of the Commando Brigade, died from wounds sustained in a drone attack several days earlier in southern Lebanon.
Israel also announced the death of Sergeant Ohad Yaari, from the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade.
According to the Israeli military, Yaari was killed in what it described as an accidental shooting incident in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Israeli figures indicate that at least 30 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the outbreak of the current confrontation involving Lebanon and Iran.

Four Soldiers Wounded
Israeli military authorities also acknowledged that four soldiers were wounded when an explosive drone struck a military vehicle in southern Lebanon.
According to Israeli media reports cited by Al-Mayadeen, the attack occurred when a Hezbollah drone targeted a military Hummer carrying Israeli troops in the town of Khiam.
The incident added to growing Israeli concerns regarding Hezbollah’s expanding drone capabilities and their impact on military operations in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah Expands Operations
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced a series of military operations targeting Israeli occupation forces, military vehicles and command infrastructure.
The resistance said that at 1:20 a.m. its fighters targeted a Merkava tank on the southern outskirts of Haddatha using appropriate weapons.
Later, at approximately 3 a.m., Hezbollah launched two Ababil attack drones against a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the same area.
In the central sector, the resistance announced multiple rocket and artillery attacks against concentrations of Israeli troops and military vehicles near the southeastern outskirts of Yahmar al-Shaqif.
According to Hezbollah’s military statements, the positions were targeted repeatedly between midnight and dawn.
Among the most significant operations announced on Sunday was a drone strike against an Israeli command position in Naqoura.
Hezbollah said an Ababil attack drone successfully targeted an Israeli command headquarters in the coastal town.
The resistance stated that all of the operations were carried out in response to continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire and attacks against Lebanese civilians and villages.

Army ‘Bleeding’ in Lebanon
As military confrontations intensified, Israeli media outlets published unusually critical assessments of the situation facing Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
Channel 12 described conditions on the northern front as deeply concerning and acknowledged that the Israeli army was effectively “bleeding” in southern Lebanon.
The channel reported that 17 soldiers and one Defense Ministry employee have been killed in southern Lebanon and along the northern front since the ceasefire began.
According to the report, six Israeli soldiers were killed during the past week alone.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Kan broadcaster acknowledged what it described as a growing operational crisis linked to Hezbollah’s explosive drones.
“We are facing a very worrying situation regarding the threat posed by Hezbollah’s explosive drones,” the network reported.
Kan added that Israeli soldiers are increasingly exposed to the threat and possess few effective means to defend themselves.
The broadcaster also reported that growing casualties have led parts of Israel’s military establishment to favor a political settlement that would allow forces to leave what it described as the “Lebanese quagmire.”
Despite mounting casualties, “there is still no clear horizon for ending this situation,” Kan reported, warning that Israeli forces remain deployed in increasingly dangerous conditions.
