Gaza’s Ministry of Interior warns residents that a US-backed aid organization is operating as a security and intelligence front under the cover of humanitarian work.
The Ministry of Interior in Gaza today warned Palestinians against providing any personal data, information, or photos requested by a US private aid organization.
In a statement, the ministry said that the “new system” launched by the American organization is a cover for a security and intelligence operation.
The ministry affirmed that the group is “practicing a security and intelligence role under the guise of humanitarian work and providing assistance.”
The ministry also accused the organization of “recruiting citizens to cooperate with the occupation’s security services” and aligning itself with Israel’s “starvation engineering” policy.

It called on citizens not to comply with any such requests, even if they are made under the pretense of providing aid.
Since May 27, Israel has been implementing a plan to distribute aid through a group known as the ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’, which is reportedly supported by both Israel and the US.
The number of Palestinians killed while waiting for aid has now reached 2,018, with more than 14,947 injured.
‘New System’
GHF has announced “a new system” to distribute aid to starving Palestinians that requires families to “reserve aid in advance.”
“Those who opt to participate will have their photo taken and receive an ID card with their photo and a unique number,” the GHF said in a statement on Monday.
The new program, “which will scale over the coming weeks,” was launched on Sunday in the Saudi neighborhood of Gaza City, with 350 participants, according to the statement.

Those who “choose not to participate” in the new system will have to queue at the aid distribution sites, and hope to receive aid on a chaotic “first come first serve” basis.
Scores of human rights organizations, as well as the UN, have criticized the GHF mechanism as “death traps” for Palestinians, with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) calling for it to be shut down as it amounted to “orchestrated killing and dehumanization.”
