The UN Security Council and governments worldwide condemned Israel’s strike on Doha, calling it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation undermining peace efforts in Gaza.
The UN Security Council condemned the Israeli aggression against Qatar during an emergency session held on Thursday evening.
In a statement, the members emphasized their support for Qatar and also stressed the importance of de-escalation. It also expressed Council members’ deep regret over the loss of the lives of civilians in the attack.
Global Condemnation
The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Rosemary DiCarlo, said the Israeli strike shocked the world and constituted a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
She described the attack as a worrying escalation, especially since it targeted individuals who were meeting to discuss the latest US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Britain’s representative to the Security Council, Barbara Woodward, said that her country condemns Israel’s strike on Doha and stands in full solidarity with Qatar. Describing the Israeli attack as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a harbinger of further escalation in the region, she noted that Qatar has always been mediating for peace in the Middle East.

For her part, acting US Representative, Dorothy Shea, said that what had happened does not serve either Israel’s goals or those of the US. She said that, despite the painful nature of the incident, US President Donald Trump believes that it could be an opportunity for peace.
Shea added that Trump had assured Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani that such an incident would not be repeated on Qatari soil.
Turkiye’s Representative considered the Israeli attack on Qatar as an act of state terrorism and a part of Israel’s destabilizing policies. He added that Qatar’s strenuous efforts in mediation and de-escalation in the region were appreciated.

Egypt’s Representative also condemned the blatant Israeli aggression against Qatar, a country that is working tirelessly alongside his country and the US to bring peace in the region. He added that this attack is a revelation of the party, which clearly wishes to obstruct the achievement of an agreement to end the war in Gaza.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stressed that the rogue Israeli government leaves no opportunity to inflame conflict, spread chaos and perpetuate violence. He added that the attack was cowardly and violated Qatar’s sovereignty. He described the attack as a treacherous and brutal aggression, and stressed his country’s support for the State of Qatar.
Kuwait’s delegate also indicated that the Gulf Cooperation Council would not tolerate any infringement on the security of its countries and stressed that the attack violated international law and is a part of Israel’s attempts to undermine regional security. The UAE President’s Diplomatic Advisor strongly condemned the “dangerous” Israeli attack on Qatar, expressing his country’s full support for all measures taken by Qatar to protect its security, adding that the reckless aggression against Qatar will neither guarantee peace for Israel nor achieve its interests and that it will undermine prospects for ending the war.
Pakistan’s delegate, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, said that the Israeli aggression is a part of a series of Israeli actions that undermine security and stability and also set a dangerous precedent on the international stage. The attack is a blow to Qatar’s mediation efforts, he added.

Unanimous Statement
Prior to the emergency session, the 15 members of the Security Council, including the United States, approved a press statement condemning the attack on Doha, without mentioning Israel as the party that had carried it out.
Drafted by Britain and France, the press statement said that Council members expressed their deep regret over the deaths of civilians in the attacks, stressed the importance of de-escalation, and supported the sovereignty of the State of Qatar.
The statement also affirmed the Council members’ support for Qatar’s key role in mediation efforts in the region. Member states also stressed that the top priorities are bringing to an end the suffering in Gaza and the release of detainees.
Israel bombed the residential headquarters of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas in Doha on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of five Palestinians and a member of the Qatari internal security.

israel simply has NO right to exist! How can a Failed State that has for decades relied on Mass-Murder to enforce its existence, that is based to its core on a clearly FAILED ideology, that is run by a cabal of Lunatics who have carried out a merciless and brutal GENOCIDE… have ANY right, even the slightest right, to exist? … And for that matter, those governments and bodies who have turned a blind eye to this Savagery for so long should now ask themselves if they themselves have any right to exist… IF there were real democracy in the West instead of a mere facade, the People would clearly answer NO… The Peoples overwhelmingly support Palestine, but the governments ignore them.
