The leader of the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, discussed on Wednesday the situation in Gaza with top officials of Palestinian groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

According to a statement, a copy of which was seen by The Palestine Chronicle, Nasrallah received the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziad Nakhaleh, and the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Saleh Al-Arouri.

“They discussed recent events in Gaza since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and the subsequent developments on all fronts,” the statement read, adding:

” They also discussed ongoing confrontations along the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine and evaluated the international and regional positions.”

On October 7, Israel launched its latest military aggression on the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip. The number of Palestinians killed and wounded in the Israeli war on Gaza rose to over 6,000 killed, and nearly over 15,000 wounded.

On October 9, Israel imposed a “total siege” on the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of food, water, medicine, fuel, and electricity.
