An Indian journalist returning from Israel says strict military censorship limits reporting on Iranian strikes and the damage they cause.

Key Developments

  • Indian journalist Praj Mohan Singh says Israeli authorities restrict coverage of Iranian strikes.
  • He claims journalists cannot access hospitals containing bodies or film destruction sites.
  • Singh says some missiles hit without warning sirens, contradicting official assurances.
  • Israeli military censorship allegedly limits reporting on strike locations and damage.
  • Israeli Health Ministry says 13 people killed and 1,929 injured in Iranian attacks since February 28.
  • Iranian missile strikes come amid the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran.

Journalist Describes Strict Israeli Media Censorship

An Indian journalist who recently returned from Israel has described strict limitations on media coverage during the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

Journalist Praj Mohan Singh said that authorities tightly controlled what reporters could document regarding the damage caused by Iranian missile attacks, Al-Jazeera reported.

“The (Israeli) government will not tell you anything, you cannot visit hospitals that contain bodies, and when an accident occurs, we do not even know where it happened,” he said.

According to Singh, Israeli occupation authorities also prevented journalists from filming destruction caused by Iranian strikes.

His testimony has circulated widely on social media platforms, where users described it as evidence of strict Israeli military censorship during the conflict.

Missiles Striking without Warning

Singh also described what he said were discrepancies between official statements and conditions on the ground. He said Iranian missiles sometimes struck locations without warning alarms.

“Iranian missiles sometimes hit without warning sirens,” he said.

According to Singh, some civilians died even inside shelters despite Israeli government assurances that such facilities would provide protection. He also said that reporters were prevented from documenting the damage caused by Iranian strikes.

The claims have sparked debate online about the level of information being released publicly regarding the impact of Iranian attacks.

Reports of Hidden Damage

The journalist’s remarks prompted widespread discussion on social media platforms. Some commentators argued that Israel deliberately limits information about damage and casualties during conflicts in order to shape public perception.

Others said the approach reflects a broader wartime information strategy aimed at controlling internal narratives during active hostilities.

The debate intensified after reports that NBC News broadcast footage showing an Iranian missile striking Tel Aviv, though information about the location of the impact and the extent of the damage was not publicly disclosed.

Observers said the lack of detailed reporting was consistent with Israel’s strict military censorship rules governing wartime coverage.

Evidence of Missile Impact Sites

Earlier reporting by Al-Jazeera’s Open Source Unit analyzed aerial photographs published by Israeli platforms not subject to military censorship. The analysis identified the location of a missile strike on a residential complex.

According to the report, the missile directly struck a shelter, causing extensive damage to nearby homes.

Israeli media also published testimonies from residents in Beit Shemesh, where people described the strength of Iranian missile strikes. Some residents questioned whether early warning systems provided enough time to reach protected spaces.

While the army said warnings were activated, some witnesses said residents did not have sufficient time to reach shelters before impact.

Casualties from Iranian Attacks

According to Israel’s Health Ministry, 13 Israelis have been killed and 1,929 injured in Iranian attacks since the war began.

A ministry statement said 157 people were injured in the last 24 hours, with 112 people remaining hospitalized, including nine in serious condition. The ministry also noted that several people were injured while running to shelters during missile alerts.

The escalation began on February 28, when Israel and the United States launched attacks on Iran.

The strikes killed more than 1,200 people in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and injured more than 10,000 others, according to Iranian reports.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and US military facilities in the region.

  1. The Israeli Jewish Nazis are the scum of the Earth. I hope Iran levels ” Israel ” until there’s no one left. All the good, decent citizens…all 10 of them…should leave immediately.

  2. The genocidal Jewish occupiers of Palestine, as always, are desperately trying to cover up and hide the enormous damage that Iran’s missiles have been inflicting upon “Israel”, on a daily basis.

They’ve even gone as far as making it a crime in occupied Palestine, to record videos showing the heavy damage caused by Iranian missiles against Zionist military sites, and economic targets.

The “Israeli” Health Ministry’s claim of “13 killed and 1,929 injured in Iranian attacks since February 28” is absolute bullshit. At the very least, 300 Zionist soldiers have been killed by now, and the number of overall injuries is at least three times more than “1,929”.
