Al-Hindi said Israeli ceasefire violations have reinforced, not reduced, the need for resistance weapons, rejecting any calls for disarmament.
Mohammed al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that Palestinian resistance weapons “cannot and will not be handed over to the Israeli occupation,” stressing that they will remain in the hands of the Palestinian people.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera Mubasher on Tuesday, Al-Hindi said the continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have only increased the need for resistance weapons, not diminished it.
He rejected any demands for disarmament, emphasizing that no party has the authority to confiscate the weapons of the Palestinian people.

Al-Hindi addressed reports suggesting that the resistance had proposed a truce with Israel, clarifying that while Palestinian factions demonstrated flexibility with mediators, no fixed timeframe was proposed.
He said Israel is deliberately obstructing progress toward the second phase of the ceasefire by insisting on the surrender of resistance weapons—an issue he described as a non-starter.
Al-Hindi added that Israel failed to disarm the resistance throughout more than two years of war and has simultaneously blocked any role for the Palestinian Authority in administering Gaza.
According to the PIJ leader, several countries considered for participation in a proposed international force in Gaza have refused Israel’s conditions, while others requested clear details regarding the force’s mandate, deployment areas, and authority. He also noted Israel’s rejection of Turkiye’s participation in such a force.
Hamas Says Nearly 900 Israeli Violations Threaten Gaza Ceasefire
Al-Hindi’s remarks come amid renewed international discussion of disarmament as part of post-war arrangements for Gaza—particularly within plans advanced by US President Donald Trump.
Trump’s vision for Gaza has repeatedly framed reconstruction, international oversight, and any political future for the territory as conditional on the complete disarmament of Palestinian resistance factions.
Palestinian groups have consistently rejected this premise, viewing disarmament as an attempt to impose a political settlement while Israel maintains occupation, military control, and the ability to resume attacks.
Al-Hindi called on mediators to pressure Israel to meet its obligations under the Gaza agreement, particularly regarding the entry of humanitarian aid, warning that continued Israeli stalling would only prolong the suffering of Gaza’s population.

It sounds like the Zionist Regime is becoming hysterical! Which is good. Collapsing, weaker & weaker, inevitable: abide the ceasefire and stages or the “ceasefire” means – resistance!
