Killing in Gaza City
Israeli occupation forces killed 43-year-old Wael Salim Salmi in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, after military vehicles opened heavy fire toward homes and tents, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
According to sources at Al-Shifa Hospital, Salmi was shot outside Israeli deployment zones as artillery shelling struck surrounding streets.
Israeli occupation forces reportedly advanced toward Siam Street and the Triangle area in Zaytoun and carried out demolition operations in locations where troops were stationed. The neighborhood was repeatedly shelled.
On Sunday, Israeli fire killed three Palestinians, including a child.
Israeli occupation forces also opened fire east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while warplanes flew at low altitude in the southern part of the Strip.

Heavy artillery shelling targeted the western areas of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while Israeli naval vessels opened fire offshore near Khan Yunis in the south.
Airstrikes and artillery bombardment also struck areas east of Khan Yunis and Gaza City, where Israeli forces were positioned, according to Al-Jazeera. The continuing attacks came despite the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Ceasefire Violations Continue
Since the ceasefire began, hundreds of violations have been documented.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that roughly 580 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,500 wounded during the truce period.
The Israeli offensive that began in October 2023 killed over 72,000 Palestinians and injured more than 171,000, while destroying about 90 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure.
Severe Restrictions
Only 44 Palestinians were able to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing on Sunday, including 17 patients and 27 companions, the Anadolu News Agency reported, citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
The crossing has operated intermittently and in very limited numbers since Israel kept the Palestinian side under occupation since May 2024. Movement stopped over the weekend before resuming again in restricted form.

Approximately 22,000 wounded and sick Palestinians are seeking medical treatment abroad, while about 80,000 displaced residents have registered to return to Gaza.
Returnees reported undergoing harsh interrogations by Israeli occupation forces, and only Palestinians who left after the outbreak of the war are allowed back following security screening.
Before the war, hundreds crossed Rafah daily under normal procedures without Israeli involvement.
