Israeli warplanes carried out several air raids on towns in southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa on Monday, in continued violation of the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024.
Israel launched several air raids on southern and eastern Lebanon on Monday, targeting a number of towns in continued violations of the ceasefire agreement reached late last year.
Al-Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes carried out four raids on locations in southern and eastern Lebanon, including the village of Anan in the Jezzine district, as well as the towns of Ain al-Tineh and al-Manara in the Bekaa Valley. Additional strikes were reported on Kfarhatta in south Lebanon.
According to Al-Jazeera, the Israeli occupation army claimed the attacks targeted positions belonging to Hezbollah and the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, stating that it had begun striking what it described as “military infrastructure” linked to both groups inside Lebanon.
An Israeli military spokesman issued evacuation orders on Monday for four villages in eastern and south Lebanon, saying the army was preparing to launch further raids. The spokesman named Hamara and Ain Al-Tineh in the Bekaa Valley, along with Kfarhatta and Anan in southern Lebanon, as targets of the planned strikes.

The Lebanese news network Al Mayadeen reported that the strikes in the Western Bekaa region targeted buildings that had been previously threatened by Israel.
Lebanon’s official news agency said one of the raids hit the home of Sharhabil al-Sayed, who was assassinated last year, in the town of al-Manara.
In south Lebanon, local correspondents cited by Al Mayadeen reported that Israeli warplanes struck a threatened house in Anan, in the Jezzine district, and carried out an additional raid on Kfarhatta in the Sidon district.
Israel and Lebanon agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire in November 2024, ending more than a year of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. Since then, Israel has continued to carry out air raids and military operations across southern and eastern Lebanon, in repeated violations of the agreement.
