ISRAELI MEDIA: Israel’s Channel 13 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office is considering a proposal to bypass Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir after his call to move forward with a deal in Gaza. One possibility under discussion is appointing an authority above the Chief of Staff to act as supreme commander of the army.

Assessments indicate that Zamir is seen as not aggressive enough and unwilling to occupy Gaza City.

Zamir, however, would not accept the appointment of a commander above him. Netanyahu’s office is reportedly angered after Zamir demanded reaching a deal now.

ISRAELI MEDIA: The Israeli Prisoners’ Families Forum regarding those held in Gaza declared: We urge everyone to take to the streets tomorrow and raise their voices for the return of all hostages. Everyone must unite and fight for their return. We will not accept the sabotage of the prisoner exchange deal again.
