The flotilla consists of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the International Gaza Movement, the Flotilla of Resilience, and the Malaysian organization ‘Sumud Nusantara.’
The Maghreb section of the Global Sumud Flotilla has postponed its departure from Tunisia from Sunday to next Wednesday. It will join other ships sailing from Spain and Italy, all heading to Gaza to attempt to break the siege on the Palestinian population.
The flotilla’s departure was initially scheduled for Thursday but was delayed to Sunday due to bad weather and a delay in the flotilla leaving Barcelona.
It was then postponed a second time to next Wednesday for the same reasons.
Speaking at a press conference, Tunisian MP Mohamed Ali announced he would be participating in the flotilla to represent Tunisian lawmakers. He stated that the parliament had formed a follow-up committee to prepare and mobilize in case of any emergency.
Ali also expressed his happiness that Tunisia would be the first host for these global symbols of freedom heading to Gaza. He added that their only weapons are justice and the belief in the righteousness of the Palestinian cause.

The Tunisian MP acknowledged that their voyage to Gaza is full of risks, as the ‘Israeli enemy’ is capable of anything, but he stressed that they must endure for the sake of supporting Palestine.

The flotilla’s journey comes amid a deepening humanitarian crisis and famine in the Gaza Strip. In late August, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared that a famine had taken hold in the northern Gaza Strip and warned that it could expand to other areas. This is a direct result of the ongoing Israeli siege, which has severely restricted the flow of essential goods and aid into the devastated region.
Since reneging on the ceasefire on March 18, Israel has continued its bloody aerial bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding thousands of Palestinians.
Starting on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military, with American support, launched a genocidal war against the people of Gaza. This campaign has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 64,000 Palestinians, with more than 161,500 wounded. The vast majority of the population has been displaced, and the destruction of infrastructure is unprecedented since World War II. Thousands of people are still missing.

In addition to the military assault, the Israeli blockade has caused a man-made famine, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians—mostly children—with hundreds of thousands more at risk.
Despite widespread international condemnation, little has been done to hold Israel accountable. The nation is currently under investigation for genocide by the International Court of Justice, while accused war criminals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are officially wanted by the International Criminal Court.

What’s the matter with the western countries that they lick the boots of the two most evil countries in the world? Why is this vicious racism of the Israeli Jews allowed by the U.S? Not only allowed, but actually supported. Other more intelligent kinder countries must band together, take many war ships (laden with life saving supplies) to Israel, FORCE their way into Israel, using weapons if necessary, and SAVE the Palestinians. ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS ISRAEL IS A MONSTER. The racist 97% of Jews must be forced to leave Palestine, a land having nothing to do with their history, and Palestine returned to its rightful owners, the indigenous Palestinians.
