Israeli occupation forces killed Abdullah Mohammad Meqbel, 16, shooting him in the chest during a protest against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

A Palestinian child was killed on Tuesday night by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Ummar, to the north of Hebron (Al-Khalil) in the occupied West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed a brief statement on the death of 16-year-old Abdullah Mohammad Meqbel, who was critically wounded earlier on Tuesday by Israeli live ammunition in Beit Ummar.

Mohammad Awad, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces attacked hundreds of Palestinians who were protesting against the Israeli genocide campaign in the Gaza Strip.

Awad said the Israeli occupation forces opened fire with live ammunition on the protesters, shooting Meqbel in the chest.

The child was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he died of his critical wounds a few minutes later.
