The Palestinian Embassy to Uruguay organized a cultural festival and an exhibition of Palestinian traditional clothing to mark Palestinian Dress Day.

The role of Palestinian women in keeping Palestinian heritage alive as well as their role in protecting Palestinian dress was made clear.

The festival was organized in collaboration with the Palestinian Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and women and human rights groups in Uruguay.

The organizers displayed Palestinian dresses along with giving explanations about the history of each dress in various cities. Palestinian officials to Uruguay attended the event as well as Parliamentary members, womens groups and journalists.
