Israeli occupation forces intensified bombardment and demolition across Gaza as winter storms worsen the already dire conditions for displaced Palestinians.
Early Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army carried out bombing and demolition operations in several areas along the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, accompanied by intense gunfire from military vehicles and drones.
In the northern Gaza Strip, Al-Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli artillery shelled areas inside the yellow line east of Jabalia, while Israeli occupation forces simultaneously carried out demolition operations with artillery fire east of Gaza City.
The eastern part of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood also witnessed heavy gunfire from Israeli drones and armored vehicles.
In the south, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis, alongside artillery fire inside the Green Line. Israeli occupation forces also opened fire toward areas southeast of Khan Younis, while local sources said the outskirts of Rafah, in the far south, were also targeted with shelling and live fire.
This escalation comes as the Israeli army continues, since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, to destroy what remains of buildings and infrastructure behind the yellow line across the Gaza Strip.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens as Winter Arrives
Meanwhile, the Civil Defense in Gaza warned of worsening conditions for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians living in tents that fail to provide basic protection as winter approaches.
In a statement issued Tuesday evening, Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said that field evaluations and thousands of distress calls confirm that the tents are unsuitable for habitation and lack minimum standards of safety, insulation, and privacy — especially under worsening weather systems.
Basal noted that the tents leak rainwater and fail to protect children, women, and the elderly from cold and wind. He stressed that these tents are no longer temporary shelters, but “a source of suffering and a real danger to life.” He urged international organizations to provide secure, equipped temporary housing units until reconstruction begins.
He emphasized that the continued presence of families in uninhabitable tents “is not acceptable and cannot continue.”
As winter intensifies, hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians face severe shortages in basic necessities, while the Israeli army continues to block the entry of mobile shelters and essential humanitarian supplies.
