‘They Will Be Hit Hard’ If No Ceasefire in Gaza: Iran Warns US

The US will face grave consequences if the Israeli war on Gaza is not brought to an end, Iran’s defense minister warned on Sunday.

“Our advice to the Americans is to immediately stop the war in Gaza and implement a ceasefire, otherwise they will be hit hard,” Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani said, as cited by IRNA.

Iran has been calling for an end to the bloodshed in the Palestinian enclave and has repeatedly accused Washington of fueling tensions in the Middle East since Israel began its war on Gaza following a surprise attack in southern Israel by the Palestinian Resistance group Hamas.

Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Israel was committing “war crimes and genocide” with the “full support” of the US government.

“Israel’s criminal acts, fully supported by the United States, portray the arrogant spirit of Washington which incited hatred among nations across the world,” Kanaani said, according to Press TV.

Washington has refused to call for a full ceasefire in Gaza, vetoing a UN Security Council Resolution on October 18.

On Sunday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated Washington’s position, claiming that a ceasefire would allow Hamas to “regroup” and carry out more attacks on Israel.

Israel has, thus far, killed over 9,770 Palestinians in Gaza, including 4,800 children, and wounded more than 25,000. Palestinian Ministry of Health reports and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

Despite a massive Israeli military buildup around the Gaza borders and sporadic infiltrations on the outskirts of the besieged Strip, Palestinian Resistance continues to repel Israeli attacks.

To justify its military failure, the Israeli army continues to pound civilian homes throughout the Gaza Strip with new massacres reported everywhere in the besieged enclave.

Gaza has been under a tight Israeli military siege since 2007, following a democratic election in occupied Palestine, the results of which were rejected by Tel Aviv and Washington.

  1. It is now quite clear, given the USA’s failure to sanction Israel over it’s illegal brutality, that Israel controls USA.
