The aggression being carried out against Gaza by the Israeli occupation is a dangerous, exceptional development, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Saturday.

Speaking during a ceremony commemorating Martyr’s Day, Nasrallah said the Israeli occupation’s crimes were a mere reflection of its brutal nature aimed at subjugating the peoples of the region and breaking their will to demand their rights.

“The goal of the Israeli occupation’s crimes is to push the people to give up and forget about their land, prisoners, sanctities, and the whole of Palestine,” Nasrallah said.

“The culture of Resistance has intensified generation after generation despite the massacres that culminated in the great action taken by al-Qassam Brigades on October 7,” the leader of the Lebanese Resistance movement underlined.

“The Israeli occupation’s crimes over the past decades, and even the aggression of July 2006 did not see the Lebanese people abandon the Resistance,” Sayyed Nasrallah added, another testament to his assertions regarding the Israeli occupation’s failure.

“The Israelis must despair when it comes to achieving their goals – not our people whose choices have proven to be those of victory, liberation, and dignity,” he stressed, noting that its own actions doomed its bids for the normalization of ties with Arab countries.

“The enemy is inflicting many losses upon itself, including by showing its true, brutal self,” Nasrallah added.

“The occupation dealt mighty blows to the normalization bids that it had its eyes set on. Our peoples’ stances against normalization will grow more staunch now.”

Nasrallah also noted that the change in public opinion, including in the United States and Europe, is “of great importance.”

He highlighted that Israel is today under substantial pressure in terms of time, and its allies are abandoning it one by one, and today, “it no longer has any supporters other than the US and British regimes.”

“The United States is directing this battle and making every decision in it, and they should be under utmost pressure […] The party that can stop this aggression is the one directing it, and that is the United States,” he said.

The Lebanese Front

Nasrallah also spoke about Hezbollah’s action along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

“On a daily basis, drones are sent across the border,” Nasrallah said, highlighting the intensification of Hezbollah’s operations and explaining that Israel is “hiding its casualties and losses.”

“We have quickly responded to the brutal killing of civilians in Ainata through the shelling of ‘Kiryat Shmona’ with Katyusha rockets,” Nasrallah explained, with reference to Israel’s killing of four Lebanese civilians killed by an Israeli missile on November 5.

As for the future, Nasrallah said that “all eyes watching the Lebanese front must be on the battlefield, and not anticipating words. This is a battle of patience, steadfastness, and the accumulation of achievements.”

Praising the Resistance

Nasrallah praised the achievements of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, saying that, despite the painful reality, they  are fighting valiantly against the strongest brigades of the Israeli elite, which indicates Israel’s impotence.

Nasrallah also praised the Islamic Resistance movements across the Middle East, with specific reference to the Yemeni, Syrian, and Iraqi groups.

Regarding Iran, he noted that if there is a resistance force in Lebanon and Palestine and other resistance movements in the region, it is with the blessing of Iran’s leadership.

He stressed that Iran does not decide on behalf of the resistance movements, but rather will remain “their protector and supporter.”
