A Florida State Republican lawmaker sparked outrage by calling for all Palestinians to die.
Florida State Rep. Michelle Salzman openly called for the genocide of all Palestinians on Thursday, during a debate in the state legislature about calling for a ceasefire in Israel’s invasion of Gaza.
In the speech in support of the ceasefire resolution, the Democratic Florida state representative Angie Nixon said: “We are at 10,000 dead Palestinians. How many will be enough?”

“All of them,” Michelle Salzman called in reply.
“One of my colleagues just said, ‘All of them.’ Wow,” Nixon said, acknowledging the interruption.
The Florida state house voted 104-2 to reject Nixon’s resolution.
Salzman’s office did not respond to a request for comment.
The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (Cair-Florida) – the US’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization – said in a statement that Salzman’s remarks were a “chilling call for genocide” and a “direct result of decades of dehumanization of the Palestinian people by advocates of Israeli apartheid and their eager enablers in government and the media”.

Israel has, thus far, killed over 11,078 – including 4,506 children and 3,027 women – and wounded 27,409. Palestinian Ministry of Health reports and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

It’s standard procedure for American leaders to forment racial hatred – Biden doing it resulted in a Muslim American child being murdered a few weeks ago, and in the aftermath of 9/11, there were plenty of attacks on Muslims and Arabs, or people thought to be, like Sikhs.
