Israeli strikes on Khan Yunis police checkpoints kill six Palestinians, including a child, amid continued ceasefire violations.

UPDATE:

Medical sources confirmed that Israeli airstrikes targeted two police checkpoints in Khan Yunis, killing six Palestinians, including three police officers and three civilians, among them a child. Several others were wounded in the attacks.

Earlier on Saturday, three Palestinians, including two brothers, were also killed and four wounded in separate incidents of Israeli shelling and gunfire across Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces have killed at least 691 Palestinians and wounded 1,876 others since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, amid ongoing daily violations.

Deadly Strike Reported

Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a police checkpoint in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing at least six Palestinians and wounding several others, according to Al Mayadeen and Palestinian media.

Additional air raids were also reported in Al-Mawasi shortly after the initial attack, causing further injuries.

Separate shelling was reported south of Khan Yunis, indicating continued Israeli bombardment across the area.

Police Among Victims

Subsequent reports confirmed that at several of those killed were members of the Palestinian police, who were present at the targeted checkpoint.

The attack reflects an ongoing pattern of Israeli strikes targeting police personnel in Gaza.

Just days earlier, Israeli airstrikes hit a police vehicle in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing at least four police officers and wounding others, according to medical and media reports.

Palestinian sources have emphasized that police forces continue to operate under extreme conditions to maintain basic order amid widespread destruction and displacement across the Gaza Strip.
