A poll, conducted jointly by CBS News/YouGov shows that about 61 percent of all US adults disapprove of Biden’s handling of the Israeli war on Gaza.

The majority of Americans disapprove of the way that US President Joe Biden is handling Israel’s war on Gaza, according to a new poll published on Sunday.

The poll was conducted jointly by CBS News/YouGov. It shows that about 61 percent of all US adults, who have been surveyed, disapprove of Biden’s handling of the war.

Compared to a similar poll conducted in October, the disapproval rating of Biden’s war conduct has increased by 5 percent, while the approval rating has also decreased by a similar number.

Republicans Vs. Democrats

According to the poll, 63 percent of all Democrats say that they approve of Biden’s handling of the conflict – a 3-point drop from October – while only 22 percent of Republicans say that they approve.

As for independents, 35 percent approve of Biden’s job in dealing with the conflict in Gaza.

The latest poll also shows that young voters – those between the ages of 18 to 29 – are exactly split, with 50 percent expressing disapproval and 50 percent approving.

However, the disapproval rating increased exponentially to 68 percent when the question was asked to voters between the ages of 30 and 35.

Similarly, a high disapproval rating was also registered among voters between the ages of 45 and 64. Among this age group, the disapproval rating was registered at 63 percent.

Moreover, the polled group of 65 and older has registered a disapproval rating of 60 percent.

Pew Poll

Another survey, however, which results were published on Friday, showed that only 30 percent of all Americans approve of the Biden Administration’s response to the war.

The poll, conducted by the Pew Research Center, said that among Republican correspondents, 51 percent disapprove of Biden’s response, while 33 percent of Democrats disapprove.

Unlike the CBS/YouGov poll, the Pew survey showed that younger Americans, those under 30 years old, were actually the most critical.

Indeed, only 19 percent of young American voters approve of Biden’s conduct while 46 percent disapprove.

Politico, which reported on the Friday survey, noted that all public surveys seem to indicate growing sympathy for Palestinians, especially among young people.

The number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7 has reached 17,997, including over nearly 8,000 children and more than 6,121 women, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. 49,229 were wounded.
