Israel to Confiscate Palestinian Villagers’ Lands near Nablus

The Israeli government on Saturday announced a decision to confiscate Palestinian lands between Za’tara junction and Osarin village south of Nablus.

Yatma village council member Ahmad Snobar told Ma’an that the council was officially informed by Israel that the land would be seized.

Dozens of villagers from Yatma, Osran, and Qabalan own the land that Israeli forces are planning to seize, Snobar said.

Snobar added that an Israeli civil administration officer will arrive in the Za’tara area on Monday at 10 a.m. to mark the land that will be confiscated.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
