Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale military incursion into the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camp in the early hours of Thursday, causing heavy destruction to the streets, vehicles, and property, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed the city from the western side and patrolled their troops in its streets and neighborhoods, particularly the southern and eastern parts.

Israeli soldiers, accompanied by police dogs, reportedly broke into the refugee camp, and positioned troops in its streets and snipers on rooftops of high buildings.

Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers sabotaged and destroyed the camp’s main streets, several vehicles, and properties of residents.

Violent clashes reportedly broke out with Palestinian residents and Israeli soldiers reportedly fired live bullets toward the youths. However, no injuries were reported.

Israeli military forces also stationed troops in the vicinity of Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarem, searching ambulances and obstructing their work, subjecting their drivers to interrogation.

Additionally, Israeli forces raided several residents’ homes in the southern neighborhood of the city of Tulkarem, where they detained a Palestinian youth, identified as  Abdel-Fatah al-Qadoomi, from his home.

WAFA cited local sources as saying that drones were also flying low over the city.
