The spokesperson emphasized that journalists must have the freedom to cover the ongoing events in Israel and Gaza without intimidation or harassment.

On Friday, a journalist was killed and three more journalists were wounded after they were targeted in a direct strike by the Israeli army inside Lebanon.

The Reuters cameraman, Issam Abdallah, was reporting along with other journalists in the Lebanese border town of Alma Al-Shaab in south Lebanon when their car was struck by a direct Israeli hit.
