By Palestine Chronicle Staff

Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem reported that Israeli settlers attacked on Friday night 26-year old Mohamamd Khalil Al-Razem “with a knife and batons while walking in “Bar Elan” Street in Jerusalem.”

Al-Razem said that he was driving his motorcycle in Bar Elan Street in Jerusalem around 10:30 on Friday night. Surprisingly, “When I stopped at the traffic light, five settlers attacked me with knives and batons,” He told Wadi Hilweh Information Center, adding, “Within minutes, I tried to flee the area but I couldn’t after falling off my bike. I was able to get up and defend myself.”

He added: “A police vehicle passed by and the settlers quickly ran away after assaulting me.”

He noted that he “Was stabbed in his thigh and was bruised in his leg after falling of his bike. He was transferred to Shaare Zedek hospital for treatment,” according to the Center.

He added that he filed “a claim to the police regarding being assaulted in order to hold the assailants accountable.”

The number of assaults against Palestinians in Jerusalem have mounted since the outbreak of the Al-Quds uprising in October 2015.
