From Khan Yunis to Gaza City, at least 34 Palestinians were killed since dawn, with hospitals reporting a sharp rise in casualties.

Israeli occupation forces carried out a massacre against displaced Palestinians near Khan Yunis on Saturday and launched extensive bombing operations in Gaza City’s Zaytoun neighborhood, as preparations intensify for the announced ‘Gideon Chariots 2’ campaign to invade Gaza City.

A medical source at Nasser Hospital confirmed that 17 people, including six children, were killed at dawn when Israeli artillery shelled tents sheltering displaced families in the Asdaa area, northwest of Khan Yunis.

The Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital released images showing the bodies of the victims and the wounded receiving treatment.

Shortly after, an Israeli drone strike targeted another tent for displaced persons north of Khan Yunis, killing two women and wounding 14 others, according to the Red Crescent field hospital.

Israeli warplanes also bombed several areas in central and northern Khan Yunis, while ground forces carried out demolition operations inside and north of the city, Palestinian media reported. Earlier, a drone strike hit the Mawasi area—densely packed with displaced families west of Khan Yunis—killing a woman and four children.

At the same time, the Nasser Medical Complex reported that a number of starving Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire near an aid distribution center north of Rafah.

Widespread Bombardment

Gaza hospitals reported that at least 34 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire since dawn Saturday—more than half of them in Khan Yunis.

The southern neighborhoods of Gaza City came under heavy air and artillery bombardment this morning. Medical sources said two people were killed in the attacks, including one in the Al-Sabra neighborhood.

According to Al-Aqsa TV, occupation forces bombed six residential buildings in less than 15 minutes in Zeitoun, southeast of Gaza City, as tanks attempted to push toward the neighborhood’s center under heavy fire. Zaytoun has been identified by Israel as a key target of “Gideon 2.”

The looming offensive has triggered a mass movement of residents from the outskirts of Gaza toward the city’s western districts and the central coast.

North of Gaza City, a Gaza emergency service source reported that six starving people were killed and others wounded by Israeli gunfire while searching for food near the ‘Zikim’ checkpoint in the Sudanese area.

In Jabalia, which has faced ongoing military operations for days, Israeli aircraft carried out new strikes on residential buildings, while drones dropped explosive bombs on homes in the Old City.

In the central Gaza Strip, Al-Awda Hospital reported casualties after an Israeli drone attack on an apartment in Nuseirat camp. Airstrikes also targeted homes in Deir al-Balah and Al-Maghazi camp, while Israeli vehicles opened fire near the Netzarim axis.

Rising Death Toll

Hospitals documented 65 Palestinians killed yesterday, including 37 in Gaza City. Among the dead were six starving people shot while trying to obtain food in central and northern Gaza.

Since May, when the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” assumed control of aid distribution, more than 2,000 Palestinians have been killed and 15,000 injured by Israeli forces and foreign contractors working with the American foundation at distribution centers.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, since Israel’s reversal of the March 18 ceasefire agreement, about 11,000 Palestinians have been killed and 45,000 injured.
