Israeli gunfire and raids leave Palestinians dead and injured across Gaza and the occupied West Bank, amid growing warnings over new measures targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Key Developments
- Elderly woman dies from Israeli gunfire in Gaza, multiple injuries reported.
- Palestinian man killed in West Bank raid, arrests and settler attacks intensify.
- Warnings grow over attempts to alter status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Elderly Woman Killed
An elderly Palestinian woman succumbed on Monday to critical gunshot wounds she had sustained days earlier after Israeli forces opened fire in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Local sources also reported that a young man was shot in the neck by live ammunition fired from an Israeli quadcopter drone near Al-Tayeb Hall in Beit Lahia. His condition was described as moderate.
Earlier, a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured by Israeli gunfire east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. In a separate incident, a woman from the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood was wounded by live fire from an Israeli machine gun mounted on a crane east of Gaza City.
Medical sources confirmed that since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed at least 72,280 Palestinians and wounded 172,014, alongside widespread destruction affecting most of the Strip’s civilian infrastructure.
Left to Bleed
In the occupied West Bank, a young Palestinian man, identified as Ramzi Abdul Hakim al-Awawdeh, was killed after Israeli forces opened fire on him during a raid in the Kharsa Triangle area south of Hebron (Al-Khalil).
According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces prevented medical teams from reaching him and seized ambulance keys, leaving him to bleed before transferring his body to an unknown location.
The incident took place amid a wider campaign of raids and incursions across the West Bank, including arrests in Qalqilya, Nablus, Tulkarm, Jericho, and Ramallah.
Settler militias also escalated attacks, firing live ammunition near Tayasir east of Tubas, burning vehicles in al-Arroub camp north of Hebron, and vandalizing property in Nahalin near Bethlehem.
Israeli occupation forces additionally carried out demolitions in occupied Jerusalem, where bulldozers destroyed the home of Fayez Ruwaidi in the al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan under heavy security protection.

Escalation at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Simultaneously, concerns are growing over attempts to impose new realities at Al-Aqsa Mosque, with activists and officials warning of escalating measures under the cover of the regional war.
Leaders of so-called Temple Mount groups have announced plans to bring animal sacrifices into the mosque compound during upcoming Jewish holidays, a move widely seen as a dangerous shift in the status quo, Quds News Network reported.
According to the report, Jerusalem activist Mazen al-Ja’bari warned that such actions would constitute “a radical change to the status quo within the mosque,” adding that recent attempts to bring sacrificial animals into the Old City may be a test of public reaction.
He also cautioned that Israeli occupation authorities could move toward partial openings of Al-Aqsa to facilitate settler entry.
