Salah: Attack on Al-Aqsa a Blight on the World

Israeli attacks and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque bring “shame to the whole world,” Sheikh Raed Salah told Alkhaleejonline.net yesterday.

Salah reiterated that the violations of the Israeli occupation against the holy site are continuous, calling it a “new war against Islam”.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest place for about two billion Muslims around the world.

“Israeli plans are now very clear,” Salah said, “the main aim is to carry out extremist agendas which are based on the partition of the mosque based on time and place.”

He stressed that these plans would never be allowed as long as there are “defenders” of Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, adding that he placed blame for the instability in the city on the Israeli government.

In an interview with the same website, Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, deputy chief of the Islamic movement in Israel, warned: “Al-Aqsa Mosque is going to face hard days during the Jewish holidays which start on September 13 and last until October 5.”

Al-Khatib also stressed that the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque are an introduction to the Israeli agenda which is based on partitioning the holy site based on time and place.

He said that banning Muslims from entering the mosque from 7-11.30am and giving the chance for Jews to enter is proof that the government is intent on dividing the mosque.

He also said that the Jewish groups which storm Al-Aqsa Mosque are arms of Israeli parties which compose the current Israeli government.

He called on Arabs and Islamists to face the Israeli plans, reminding Jordan that it is directly responsible for Al-Aqsa, which is under its guardianship.
