Six Palestinians Injured in Settler Attacks, 15 Detained in West Bank Raids

According to data from the Palestinian Authority’s Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, illegal settlers committed 2,153 attacks during the first half of 2025, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians.

Six Palestinians were injured on Friday in attacks by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank towns of Ramallah and Hebron (Al-Khalil), while the Israeli occupation army arrested at least 15 Palestinians in multiple raids across the territory.

In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, a Palestinian man and his wife were attacked by a mob of settlers and beaten with sticks and clubs, resulting in injuries to the head and hands.

Settlers also attacked the home of another resident, destroying several fruit trees and damaging his vehicle, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Vehicles Set Alight

In Khirbet al-Fakhit in Masfer Yatta, several settlers stormed the area and roamed near Palestinian residents’ homes to provoke and attack residents, the report stated.

Illegal settlers also set fire to four vehicles and a home in Attara, northwest of Ramallah, causing material damage. They also sprayed racist slogans on walls in the area, the report added.

The army reportedly stormed the area to protect the settlers during the attack.

In the Jabal Khirbet Tarfin area, near the entrance of ‘Atara, settlers rebuilt tents after the occupation army had demolished them four times before, according to WAFA.

Over 2,000 Attacks

Elsewhere, in Ramallah, three Palestinians were shot with live bullets during an attack by illegal settlers in Al-Mazra’a, east of Ramallah, according to Al Jazeera Arabic. While a Palestinian woman was injured in an attack by settlers at the entrance to Beit Awa, south of Hebron, the report added.

Illegal settlers on Friday also stormed the village of Shallalat al-Auja, north of Jericho, and roamed the area, in an act of provocation, according to local sources cited by WAFA.

Arrests

Also on Friday, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces arrested two young men, Musa Turkman from Jenin refugee camp and Abdullah Sawafta from Tubas, after surrounding a building near Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.

The occupation army also arrested five Palestinian women and a young man from the Qalqilya Governorate in the northern West Bank after raiding their homes, the report added, citing WAFA.

The agency added that the Israeli army arrested three Palestinians during a raid on the town of Yatta, south of Hebron. The army also arrested five Palestinians from the village of Duma, south of Nablus, and a young man from the Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.
