Iran launched new missile barrages targeting central Israel while expanding attacks on US bases and Israeli positions across the region.

Key Developments

  • Iranian missiles struck central Israel near Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport, causing injuries and damage.
  • Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it attacked four US air bases across the Gulf using missiles and drones.
  • Hezbollah announced five operations against Israeli forces in south Lebanon as the regional conflict intensifies.

Iranian Missiles Target Central Israel

Iran launched new missile barrages toward Israel, triggering air raid sirens across several areas, including Greater Tel Aviv and Ashdod, according to Israeli media.

Reports said violent explosions were heard in Tel Aviv after fragments from an Iranian fragmentation missile fell in the area.

Israeli media said a missile fell in Rishon LeZion, while another landed elsewhere in the central region, with explosions recorded in several locations.

Additional reports said a missile fell near Ben Gurion Airport, while Israeli authorities detected fragmentation debris at 10 different sites, including near the airport.

A building in Shoham was also reportedly struck by missile fragments.

Israeli media reported injuries among Israelis in central areas along with material damage. The Israeli Ministry of Health said 142 Israelis were hospitalized within 24 hours as a result of Iranian shelling.

Iran says the attacks are part of its response to the US-Israeli war launched against the country.

IRGC Strikes US Air Bases in the Gulf

In a parallel escalation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its naval forces carried out simultaneous attacks on four US air bases.

According to a statement by the Guard’s public relations department, missile and drone units targeted Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.

The statement said command centers, air traffic control towers, air defense facilities and logistics depots were targeted.

The attacks were carried out under Statement 40 of Operation “True Promise 4.” According to the IRGC statement, the strikes used precision ballistic missiles, cruise missiles with new warheads, and suicide drones.

The IRGC stated that “more than 80% of the radars and vital points in the American bases were destroyed.”

It also said field reports show “confusion and helplessness are evident in the American leadership, and a sharp decline in the morale of American soldiers and pilots on the battlefield.”

Missile Strike Dedicated to Sinwar

The IRGC also announced that a missile strike carried out Sunday morning was dedicated to two Palestinian figures.

In a statement, the IRGC said the strike was launched “in memory of the two martyrs of the nation, Yahya Sinwar ‘Abu Ibrahim’ and Hudhaifa Al-Kahlout ‘Abu Obeida’.”

Iranian officials said video footage of the strike would be released later.

Israeli Channel 14 confirmed that Iran launched five missile salvos overnight across Israel, with the final salvo in the north carried out jointly with Hezbollah.

Iranian missiles reportedly caused significant damage to buildings across several locations.

Missile Debris Hits Israeli Cities

Debris from intercepted Iranian missiles also struck several locations near Tel Aviv, according to the Anadolu news agency.

Additionally, Israeli Channel 12 reported fragments falling in Shoham, Rishon LeZion, Lod and Ness Ziona. No injuries were reported in those incidents.

The regional escalation began after Israel and the United States launched a military aggression on Iran on February 28, killing around 1,300 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has since launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as US military interests in Jordan, Iraq and Gulf states.

Hezbollah Expands Operations

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah said it carried out several operations targeting Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

According to statements cited by Anadolu, the group conducted five attacks against Israeli soldiers and vehicles.

Hezbollah said it targeted Israeli troop gatherings with rocket fire at the Ajloun Heights site north of the Kfar Yuval settlement and the Hunin Gate opposite the border town of Markaba.

The group also fired artillery at Israeli positions in Jadida Mays al-Jabal and a newly established military site on Jabal al-Bat near Aitaroun.

Hezbollah said the attacks were carried out “in defense of Lebanon and its people.”
